Hi! I'm Sofia, a trusted pet and house sitter with experience caring for dogs and cats throughout New York City and San Diego. Over the years, I've cared for pets of all ages, personalities, and energy levels, including senior pets, anxious pets, and those requiring medication or extra attention. Most recently, I've completed 10 five-star house sits through TrustedHousesitters, in addition to many pet sitting experiences throughout high school and college. I'm highly routine-oriented and understand how important consistency is for pets while their owners are away. Whether that means keeping up with daily walks, sticking to feeding schedules, administering medications, or simply providing companionship, I aim to make the transition as stress-free as possible. I work well with both energetic pets who love adventure and cuddle bugs who just want a calm companion nearby. I also treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own, keeping spaces tidy, bringing in mail, watering plants, and handling the little details that help owners travel with peace of mind. I particularly enjoy longer-term stays and building relationships with both pets and owners. I understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own, keeping spaces clean, secure, and well maintained throughout my stay. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any household preferences you provide. Because I work remotely, I'm able to be present for much of the day and provide regular photo and video updates, giving owners peace of mind that both their pet and home are being well cared for while they're away.

This is our first time hiring Sofia as a pet sitter. She was great staying with my baby girl. She was cheerful, gave me photos and updates regularly. Unfortunately, the following day we left our home, our camera in our master's bedroom (she was staying in our guest room) detected a man that we did not know. He first opened the door at around 6:30 am to check out our room, and the second time around 11:30 am, he actually went in our bedroom and opened one of our drawers, saying he was just looking for lighters! Sophia did not mention this incident anytime during the stay nor did she ask our permission for visitors. We also did not want to confront her about the situation for my dog's safety as well as the lack of other people to replace her. It's so upsetting and disappointing as we really liked her.
Sofia was wonderful, she watched our two dogs for a week and house sit while we were away. She took great care of our girls and you could tell they enjoyed their time with her. She sent regular updates and photos which we of course loved to receive. She took great care of our home and we’d happily have her watch our girls and home again!!
Sofia stayed in our home with our pitty-mix for 8 days while we were out of the country. Sofia was kind, caring and considerate of the house and dog needs. She was very quick to respond to any outreach we made and sent lots of pictures and updates. She took Zora on lots of runs and walks. We would love to have Sofia home/dog sit for us again and very highly recommend her!
Sofia is a total natural! My dog Penny is very picky and she fell in love with Sofia immediately, putting her completely at ease. She sat for me while I was traveling for about a week. While I was gone, she took Penny on the longest walks and multiple trips to the dog park, sending me loads of super happy pup content. When I got back, my apartment was cleaner than I left it. Also, Penny is a Rottweiler mix rescue with some trauma and reactivity issues, which didn’t phase Sofia at all and she easily rose to the occasion. Highly recommend Sofia, you and your dog will be thrilled!

Schedule
I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend meaningful time with pets throughout the day rather than only stopping by before and after work. I'm available for morning, afternoon, and evening care, and I particularly enjoy longer-term stays for owners traveling for work, extended vacations, or relocations. My goal is to keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible while providing plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship.
