Hi! My name is Sofia and I’m a student in Amsterdam. I have loved dogs pretty much my whole life. I have some previous experience puppy-sitting and love meeting new pets. Unfortunately I’m not in the position to own a pet myself yet, but I would love to help out in any way I can. I had a Cavalier King Charles while growing up, and I enjoyed taking him to training sessions and long walks. I also had to give oral medication, regular feedings and of course playing and lots of cuddles. Since his passing, I have moved around a lot, but I constantly miss having a pet. I have done some puppy sitting and dog walking, so I have experience with basic training, feedings, walks (pretty much anything you can think of care wise).

Noodle was a bit restless and anxious when we left, but Sofia took her for a long walk which made Noodle relaxed and totally at ease. Noodle feels very comfortable with Sofia. Thank you Sofia for taking such good care of Noodle!
I can’t recommend Sofia highly enough when it comes to caring for dogs. She has a natural gift with animals, especially dogs, and it shows in everything she does. We’ve had a dog of our own, and Sofia was always the one who took the lead in training, walking, and caring for him. She’s incredibly patient, kind, and loving — and dogs can definitely sense that. She even spent time working at a vet clinic, gaining hands-on experience, and has looked after other dogs as well. One moment that really stood out to me was when she was taking care of a young Shiba Inu puppy, Karu. It was full of energy and teething at the time, but Sofia handled everything with so much calm and care. Instead of just managing the puppy, she went above and beyond — she actually made a few teething toys out of scrap fabric to help soothe him. It was such a thoughtful and creative touch. Any dog would be lucky to have Sofia looking after them. She treats every pet like family.

Schedule
I’m a university student, so during class times and exam season my time is more limited. Depending on the needs of your pet, I would be more than happy to spend all my free time with them. At most I’m usually away from home no more than 3-4 hours on a weekday. Weekends are much more flexible.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a small dorm with a nearby park. My apartment itself has all basic furniture with no risks to a pup. The nearby park allows for long walks and socialising with other dogs.
A typical day
I love to make stimulating (but safe, always) puzzles to challenge them mentally. I love a good long walk at the park or going to a nearby cafe and sitting outside. During evenings, curled up on my couch and giving lots of cuddles.
