I work full time from home so I am able to be home with your pet while I work from 9-5 and able to take pets of frequent bathroom breaks and my 1 hour lunch hour allows me to go for a walk on during this time.

I take any pets welfare and safety with the outmost priority. This means I am a bit of a helicopter “parent” when caring for your pets. I also treat a clients home with respect and as if it were my own and am sure to leave it looking great with any laundry completed. I am always extremely observant when getting to know a dog to learn its temperament, likes and dislikes.

Is there anything unique needs that I should know about? -Medical conditions -Special diet? Feeding times? -Favourite trick, walk and nick name. -Is the dog good with other dogs and young children? -Is there anything that the owner is nervous or anxious about? -Is there any training comands or things you would like me to use during the visit or walk. -Does the dog have any triggers that might upset it? Examples; Loud noises, visitors to the house, people wearing hats, being pet or brushed in a certain area. -Does your dog have separation anxiety?
A typical day
Depending on the age and how socialized the dog is, we could go on a local walk or scenic hike just outside town. For dogs that only can go a short distance, we could go around the neighbourhood or to a park near by. Once they are nice and tired, we enjoy cuddling and playing tug-a-war or just relax. I really enjoy photography and am always trying to take photos of your pets. I send digital photos throughout the stay, and I leave a few Polaroid photos behind of your pets to enjoy.

Pet care experience
I have a great wealth of experience looking after and working with dogs. I grew up having a dog in the house and love the companionship they provide. I am looking to use my animal skills and knowledge to start earning an income that allows me to enjoy the company of different dogs and pets. I have worked as a live in dog nanny for a family member that was very active rescuing and fostering stray dogs in Mexico. I offered support to their rescued dogs and volunteered at a dog shelter in the area. I understand that each dog has unique needs and personalities and how this effects the dynamic between other dogs and people. Being outside and active in the community is important to me and also for our four legged friends. I live in an apartment building that does not allow pets, so I am unable to have a dog of my own or host any pets.

Skyler is the absolute best! We have had him stay in our home for several days at a time with both our dogs several times and it's been an incredible experience. He updates us with fun photos of his walks and adventures with the dogs and truly connects with our pups. This is the second time that Skyler has taken care of my pets. Everything went smoothly, and I am pleased with how relaxed and calm my pets were when I came home. They were well taken care of. I will book him again.
Skyler is an outstanding dog and home sitter. He took care of our two dogs with so much love and care. From our initial meet and greet to the end of the whole 7 day stay, Skyler exceeded all our hopes and expectations and our dogs loved him. He sent us so many fun updates on the walks and hikes and adventures he took with our pups as well as reassuring pictures of them happily cozy and safe isn’t home. He took care of our home so well and it was meticulously tidy when we came back from our trip Our dogs loved him and he is so calm and knowledgeable about what the dogs need. Can’t wait to have him back!
Sky was so great with our Pom and Eskie! It was their first time being left with a pet sitter, and Sky took the time to come meet them and get to know their personalities and routines.
