I am currently back in Maryland and am looking to take care of your furry loved ones over the holidays! [I recently left my dog at home, and crave the companionship of a dog. I am a full-time student and currently am not able to work a full-time/part-time job during the school year. I am able to take care of pets in between classes and in the evenings.]

I have a decently sized yard with roommates who are obsessed with animals. I have joy and energy for dogs who are young and calm as well as, companionship for senior dogs. Company is important to fur babies whether they are young or old.

I would appreciate always a meet and greet beforehand and a run down of all dogs needs and their type of personality. I have an easy time understanding and adapting to different types of behavior. Does your pet have any medical needs? Is your pet park trained?

In my interactions with dogs, I have always tried to make long lasting connections and to ensure that they’re both physically and mentally stimulated (to their maximum capacity of course). My favorite places to go on walks are at parks near my house as well as around Bladensburg Park.

I have helped raise over 5 dogs in the last 9 years of my life. I have experience primarily with pitbulls, shitzhus, bully’s, boxer and straffordshires. Before my move to Oregon for college, I was an active dog-walker in my neighborhood especially after school hours.

Skyler took my adolescent male Pit bill pup out for walks for about a month & a half, twice a week; I stopped because I decided to take my pup to doggy daycare instead during the fall & winter. Skyler was respectful and mature ever since our meet & greet and during our communications, and were receptive to feedback. I appreciated that they had experience raising pit bulls since mine is an adolescent pit and we were working through some training/behavioral issues during Skyler’s time with us. Sky didn’t always complete the Rover card timely likely since they were new to using the app; and on a couple of occasions were late for pick up due to bus or work and didn’t text to notify me, which would have been appreciated since I had to buzz them into my apt complex during my lunch break. All in all a good experience and I’d recommend Sky as a Rover and plan to reach out if I need pup assistance in the future. Thanks, Sky!
Skyler is very dependable. She is very good with pets. She plays with pets and loves them. She is patient and kind to all animals. Skyler is a very sweet and kind to all people. Skyler would be a great dog walker and sitter. Skyler would be great at this job.
