Hi! My name is Skyler, and I am and have always been an animal lover. I grew up with at least one pet at home, and always loved to feed, walk, bathe, play with, and generally spend time with pets. My whole upbringing I was tasked with helping with the dogs, including helping train them. My parents, who are skilled with training dogs because they've had so many throughout their lives, have taught me a lot of skills on how to work with dogs. Prior to moving to Chicago, I lived with a roommate, who has a dog named Clyde, who I helped train and take care of from puppyhood. Before that, I lived with a one-eyed, ten year old pug named Finley who was the cutest little old man, and this experience gave me experience with senior dogs and those who need special care. Safe to say, going from growing up with dogs and spending time with my roommates dogs to now living without any pets, I am absolutely missing the joy dogs bring to life. Overall, I've had a lot of experience with dogs, I love dogs, and I simply want to hang with them all the time. I’ve also had a lot of experience with cat care. Growing up with two cat, Jake and Ellie, who were littermates, and being the biggest cat person in my family allowed me to learn a lot about how to care for them. Beyond caring for them, I also adore cats and if I could sit on a couch with a cat next to me all day long, I’d be perfectly content in life. All in all, I love pets of all kinds, and look forward to meeting yours!
