I have owned dogs and cats for my entire life with additional experience with all sorts of large animals and livestock. Animals are a lifelong passion and love of mine. From walking and going to the dog park to cleaning a litter box, I have done it all and am willing to do it. It is my personal belief that play time is important for any type of animal no matter how big or small because it encourages learning new and good behaviors. Is your pup older? No problem at all, we will take a nice leisurely walk at their pace with frequent breaks and head home whenever they are ready, I am very big on reading animal body language and letting them direct our time together? Do you have a speed demon? Then let’s go for a nice brisk walk, or if the weather is nice a short run to get all of the zoomies out! Leash reactivity? Absolutely no issues here, my own dog is leash reactive and I have practiced both redirection and training techniques since I adopted him 4 years ago. Medications or special needs? Bring it on, I just ask that we either have an in-depth meet and greet or you leave me detailed instructions so we stick as much to your routine as possible. I am a very reliable and responsible person who will take care of your baby like they are my own. I have my own transportation and have a flexible schedule with evening and morning hours, though I attend classes at WVU full time so sometimes my hours vary.

Safety, trust & environment
I will make sure that your fur baby is safe and cared for as well as I would want mine to be. For the time that your furbabies are with me, they become part of my pack and will be cared for just as well and as throughly as my own babies are. No pup or kitty goes without love and scratches in my care, as I want them (and you) to feel as though they are getting the same care as if you are home. Let your vacation also be a vacation at your home for your pup, where they will make a new friend in me and receive as much love and scratches as I am physically able to give! Not only will the snuggles and cuddles be plentiful but so will the play time and walks when the weather is nice. Even the oldest pups still have some spunk in them so play time is key. Our days will be filled with fetch, tug and lots of treats (if allowed).

I have had Skyler stay my doggos a few times over the last few years, she has always been quick to reply and update, the girls love her, and I have never had a worry in the world while she was in charge. This last trip I was out of cell range for a good bit if the time, and unfortunately had one of my pups get sick. Skyler was able to get in touch with my mother and coordinate an emergency vet visit all before I got back to cell range. I cannot say enough about how great Skyler was in such a stressful situation!
Skyler is so great with our dog, Lady! She arrives on time for her visits, provides great updates, and always sends cute pictures which make my day!
Skyler was absolutely amazing and our dogs loved her. They will be welcoming her back on the next trip we take.
Skylar was kind enough to watch our cat on a 1 day short notice. Thanks to her we were able to enjoy our July 4th vacation and know our boy Ollie was well taken care of!!

Schedule
I am a recent WVU graduate with two dogs and cat of my own. We like to go on walks and adventures around town whenever possible and your dog will get the same experience. I will always do my best to fit your furbabies into my schedule even last minute, I know last minute plans happen and I’m here to make sure you can enjoy time out of the house without having to worry about your fur-children!
