I booked Skylar to watch my cat, George, during Thanksgiving for three separate trips. Unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. She was late to two of the three scheduled check-ins and was not transparent about her late arrivals at each morning visit. Additionally, she brought another person into my home without informing me beforehand, which made me uncomfortable since I had not approved it. For both morning check-ins, I had to remind her to come over, and she stayed for only 4-5 minutes, despite each visit being scheduled for 30 minutes. I did mention she didn’t need to stay the full 30 minutes on Thanksgiving night, but it seemed like she extended that flexibility to all the visits without communicating with me. While I understand the challenges of working over the holidays, communication and reliability are essential when entrusting someone with your pet and home. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t hire Skylar again based on this experience.
