Hi there! I’m Skylar — Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and caring for them is truly my passion. I’m a certified Veterinary Assistant with 2 years of experience in veterinary care and over 3 years here on Rover, providing trusted and loving care for pets of all kinds. Whether your best friend barks, meows, chirps, or squeaks, I’m happy to help! I’m comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and other species—so if you have a pet that’s a little outside the usual, feel free to reach out and we can talk about what you need. I love building lasting relationships with pets and their people. Getting to know each pet’s personality, quirks, and routine is one of my favorite parts of the job—it’s what turns every visit into something special. skylar was absolutely AMAZING!!! my neighbor even told me she heard the love in her voice when she came to visit one day & commended my choice (: i received MULTIPLE (heart exploding) photos during her time watching my koku man. she was even willing to meet up with me a few days before i left for vacation and the walk we took together was wonderful!! she is so knowledgeable and if i ever had to leave my baby again, i wouldn’t trust anybody but her, even over friends, no matter the cost <3. she went above and BEYOND to make me feel so much better about leaving him behind for the first time, and was ENTIRELY empathetic with my issues. he’s a special boy with his “special” quirks and she handled them all with grace and authenticity. as much as i want to gatekeep a handler, i could not live with myself if i didn’t share her brilliance. THANK YOU! nothing could ever express the relief I felt knowing you took care of my baby while i was gone.

On each visit, I make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. I refresh food and water, take them out for a potty break or walk, give playtime or cuddles, and keep their area clean. You’ll always get photo updates and notes so you know they’re happy and in good hands. 🐾

A typical day as a pet sitter is all about keeping pets happy, active, and comfortable. I start with morning walks or playtime to get their energy out, followed by feeding, fresh water, and some cuddles. Throughout the day, I mix in activities like walks, games, or training exercises to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. In the evenings, we wind down with quiet time, pets, or brushing before bedtime. Every moment is focused on keeping your pet loved, entertained, and relaxed while you’re away. 🐾
