I am a teacher off for the summer and available for house sitting, drop ins, and dog hiking. I have my own dogs cared for by my family at home, so I can arrange for playdates!

I follow the rules you set out and keep to the routine your dog is used to. I use positive reinforcement training only, and I have no problem with leash pulling, prey drive etc. I work with these issues using training treats as approved by you!

A typical day
Brisk walk for 30-40 minutes in the morning. Mid-day fetch or pet session, and another long walk or hike in the evening. Weekends we frequently are out hiking for several hours.

Pet care experience
I am an active animal lover experienced caring for both older dogs and puppies, even at the same time. I have experience giving meds and helping pets with limited mobility. Puppy training experience too! Cats and pocket pets also welcome. I rescue dogs as a volunteer, and pets are my passion! Included: brushing, medication administration, hiking, kongs, potty training, basic command training for puppies. If desired, I can include a play date with my border collie, too. Young Dog: 2 hikes a day and midday play session. Older Dog: 2 walks as mobility allows. Or 2 big snuggle sessions with brushing and meds.

Reviews
Skye and Ryan took our dog out for a long walk (a "romp" more like it) with their family. My dog, a 12-month-old recent rescue, very sweet but full of energy and needs more training, was enchanted, especially with their beautiful children (they let her jump over into the backseat to be with the kids at pickup). She came home tired (YAY) and I could not have asked for more. These are sensitive.and understanding folks, with a real appreciation of the whole spectrum of dog needs. I have always been particular about how my dogs are treated, and I would not hesitate to leave Pippin with Skye and Ryan any time.

I think I can confidently say that Skye and Ryan like dogs as much (probably more!) than people. As soon as I saw them with my Bordie Collie, Pfeiffer, I knew she was in good hands when I was traveling for work. They are very active people and took our hyperactive pup on plenty of romps. They are "animal people" through and through and are loving, fun, responsible and always communicative. I highly recommend Skye and Ryan when you are in need of a dog sitter!
Skye and Ryan are excellent with all animals, and their love for dogs is apparent. I’ve witnessed their careful and attentive care for dogs firsthand and completely trust them. They’re my number one choice for dog sitters!
