We are Skye & Joey! 👋🏼 We are an experienced dog/cat sitting couple that have looked after friend’s, family and client’s pets via apps and recommendations. We both have been raised in dog / cat households and have always been around animals. As a couple were lowkey homebodies and mainly spend time at home, but also equally love long walks. Most recently looked after a senior schnauzer that required a lot of patience and TLC, but are familiar with all ages, breeds etc.

Pepper stayed with Skye and Joey for a week (seven nights) while we were away on holiday. They kept us updated throughout her stay with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. They were very understanding of Pepper’s needs, particularly her lead reactivity and tendency to bark at other dogs. They took excellent care of her, respecting her boundaries and adapting to when she wanted cuddles and attention, as well as when she preferred her own space. Pepper was clearly well looked after from start to finish and came home happy, relaxed, and content. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Skye and Joey to other dog parents looking for a safe and loving home away from home.
Wow what a great experience! I had met up with Skye for a walk a few weeks ago and Ezme accepted her straight away- she was calm and I felt she knew how to handle an anxious dog. When I left Ezzie, I met Joey and was shown into the flat. Ezzie who usually growls and barks at unfamiliar men, took to him straight away- it was then that I knew she would be fine. Communication was great, and they are now my ‘go to’ boarding option. Thank you so much for keeping me assured and taking such good care of Ezzie. I know it was home from home because she came back so composed and calm. Fantastic!
Skye is lovely and took wonderful care of Giselle over a few days. Giselle was so relaxed and happy that it took her some time to move to greet me when I collected her!
Skye and Joey would be the perfect and loving pet caregivers for Rover.com. She and my son Joey frequently look after my 12 year old mini schnauzer Chalky to allow me some weekends and holidays away Chalky is a sensitive, timid natured dog and they provide a very safe, caring and loving 'second home' for Chalky to feel safe and secure in. They treat him to 2 long lovely walks a day and cuddly evenings at home. Every time he visits, I get updates and photos showing their adventures together. He always returns home happy, settled and relaxed. In recent past they have also looked after my other 15 yr old schnauzer, Jack (who sadly passed away recently). He was a dog with lots of age related health issues such as hypo thyroidism, arthritis and dementia. They were fantastic with him too; patient, caring and adapting their schedule to making him comfortable and well looked after with the administration of medication, meals and manageable walks. I have no doubt that any dog who stays with Skye and Joey would be well loved and looked after meticulously well. They have the energy and enthusiasm for younger dogs but also compassion and understanding for older dogs too. Your perfect caregivers!
Skye and Joey have looked after our 4 year old show cocker spaniel on numerous occasions both in our home and at their property. I couldn't recommend Skye and Joey more highly - its peace of mind. Its great to know its home from home each time our dog visits. Animals love them! They fit comfortably, like they never left. They love the walks and the play that they give them as if they are their own. Highly recommend and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Schedule
One of us works remotely and the other works from home two days a week but these days are flexible so were able to give your pets all the time and care they need. Company at weekends also works well for us! We always tend to animal sit together, however if there are extended periods of time there is always one of us around. If in doubt feel free to drop us a message and we will see whether we can meet your needs :)

Safety, trust & environment
We have a walled garden in a ground floor maisonette (there are a few stairs in the house) at the end of a quite safe road. We can easily provide any updates and give all the attention your dog needs (and wants 😇). Cat sitting will need to be in the owners home due to joey having a cat allergy 😭 (otherwise we would have a cat ourselves!)
