I have a part time job bartending Thursday-Sunday. I bartend at night which leaves me with time during the day to dedicate to Rover. For pet sitting, I work with animals that can be left alone for 6-8 hours.

Safety, trust & environment

Information Skye A. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for me to know any possible triggers. Specifically when going on walks, this can be a huge issue for some dogs. Specifically how they like their leash put on. Dogs can be sensitive the neck and legs being touched by a new person.
A typical day
If the owner allows I like treats that act as puzzles for animals. This could mean frozen peanut butter and apples in a Kong or small kibble pieces wrapped in a blanket. I’d also love to teach the dog new tricks (sit, high five, turn around, roll over). Anything that challenges the dog to use it’s problem solving skills. I love to use a laser toy with cats, this is a great way to get the zoomies out! If the cat enjoys to be brushed I will also spend a lot of time grooming them. This helps the cat calm down around a new person.

Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals in a professional setting since 2015. I have worked in dog daycare and boarding facilities. I also have regular clients that entrust me with their animals care. Additionally, I was the sole care taker for my 16 year old childhood dog. She suffered from dementia and required daily baths. I loved her deeply! I have raised 4 cats, one needing to be bottle fed as they were 3 weeks old. I have experience with bunnies, turtles, lizards, guppies/mollies, frogs, hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs.

Reviews

Skye did a wonderful job taking care of Hudson while we were out of town for 8 days. Super professional about communication, shared great pics, and we came home to a happy pup. Even bathed him. Highly recommended!

My anxious dog warmed right up to Skye!

Great communication and easy going! My dog was immediately comfortable with her.

Great communication!
