I currently work from home, and so I'll be able to tend to your dog at all times of the day, making keeping their routine easy for me and your pup. I don't often have to leave the house for long periods of time, even with errands, but if I ever do I have roommates around who can make sure your dog doesn't feel lonely.

I work from home currently and so your pup won't have to be alone when they visit with me. We don't have a yard, but our block has plenty of greenery and a handful of parks within a short distance of my house. My roommate has a cat as well, and she grew up with dogs before moving here and they've always gotten along really well. But she mostly sticks to my roommates room as she's prefers her own company over the company of others. I've got a big room I'm perfectly happy to share, so if your pup gets anxious alone at night you won't have to worry. They'll also have access to the living room throughout the day and night, so if they need some alone time in a new environment they'll be able to relax on our couch. With such an open schedule, if your pup needs to eat, go out, or get medication at a certain time we'll be able to make sure their routine doesn't get disrupted during their stay.

If your pup has any mischievous habits if you let me know I'm sure I can plan ahead. Also let me know if they tend to pull a lot on their leash, or are reactive to anything in particular on their walks, like birds, other dogs, bikes, squirrels, ect. Let me know they any tricks they've learned too, since asking for them to do some tricks is always a good way to pass the time if theyre feeling a bit bored.
A typical day
We have a park less than a block away where me and your dog can play fetch, or just explore the smells and sights. When it's a bit too cold, I have some puzzle treat toys, and different activities to keep their mind active on slow days. Also I am always happy to play with their favorite toys and favorite games from home. For more laid back dogs, I frequently like to watch movies and would be very happy to have them join me on the couch when I do.

Pet care experience
I've grown up with a wide range of different dogs, with a range of different sizes and temperaments. In highschool adopted and trained a of my own, and because of my experience as a pet owner my extended family started to pay me to dog sit their pets, and they recommended me to their friends. When I moved out to Chicago my work made me too busy to own a dog myself, but now during the off season I have heaps of time and I miss having a furry friend around!

Sky was really attentive and diligent with my dog. He even accommodated me easily when my flight was canceled due to weather and I needed to book an extra day. As dog owners we don’t see how it goes when we leave our furbabies with sitters, but one thing that really stuck out to me is that my dog was chill and relaxed when I picked him up, and hasn’t “acted out” in any way after I picked him. Which is not like him! Looking forward to booking with Sky again the next time I need care for my dog.
Sky was a great sitter, good communication and updates, very available and took great care of our pup!
During our meet-and-greet, I specifically asked for updates on Luna since she can get nervous and have trouble pooping when away from home. Throughout the stay, I had to repeatedly ask for updates myself, and responses often took hours. Communication is very important to me, especially when it comes to my dog’s well-being, so this experience was disappointing.
Sky was a great sitter for our big pup and really seemed to appreciate his goofiness. Sky was also a great communicator and shared updates throughout our dog’s stay. Would definitely recommend!
