Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine alongside my full-time role. I work standard office hours (8:30am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday), so I schedule visits around this - typically early mornings before work and evenings after work. At weekends, I have much more flexibility and can adapt my schedule to suit your cat’s usual routine. As I regularly provide cat sitting alongside my job, I am very organised with my time and planning, ensuring each visit is carried out reliably and to a high standard. I also have my own car, so travelling between visits is easy and dependable.

I primarily offer care in the pet owner’s home, as I believe this is the least stressful option for cats. Staying in their familiar environment helps them feel safe, keeps their routine consistent, and avoids unnecessary disruption. I completely understand how important this is, as I have cats of my own and know just how much they mean to us. I appreciate the level of trust involved in giving someone access to your home, and I am always very respectful, careful, and mindful of this. During each visit, I ensure all essentials are covered—fresh food and water, litter trays cleaned, and any specific instructions followed carefully. I also spend quality time with each cat, whether that’s playtime, company, or simply giving them space if they prefer a calmer approach. I take safety seriously by ensuring doors and windows are secure at all times, keeping keys safe, and respecting your home as if it were my own. I provide updates during each visit, including photos and videos, so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

It’s really helpful for me to understand your cat’s routine, personality, and any specific needs in advance. This includes feeding schedules, portion sizes, litter tray preferences, and any medications if applicable. I also like to know about their temperament—whether they are shy, confident, indoor or outdoor, and how they typically respond to new people—so I can approach them in a way that makes them feel comfortable and safe. Any information about favourite toys, treats, hiding spots, or behaviours to be aware of is always appreciated. It’s also important to highlight anything safety-related, such as doors or windows to be mindful of, or anything they shouldn’t have access to. For new bookings, I offer a complimentary meet and greet so we can get to know each other and go through your cat’s routine in detail. This also gives me the opportunity to meet your cat, understand their personality, and ensure they feel comfortable with me before any visits begin. The more I know beforehand, the better I can tailor my care to suit your cat and ensure they are happy, relaxed, and well looked after while you’re away.
A typical day
I always tailor my time with each cat to their individual personality and preferences. Some cats love lots of fuss and attention, while others prefer a calmer approach, so I always let them come to me and interact on their own terms. I’m happy to spend time playing with their favourite toys, whether that’s wand toys, balls, or anything they enjoy, to keep them mentally stimulated and active. For more relaxed cats, I’m equally happy to sit with them, offer gentle fuss, and keep them company. I can also give treats in line with the owner’s instructions and routine, and I always make sure any play or interaction is safe and appropriate for the cat. Above all, I aim to make each visit a positive and comforting experience, so your cat feels relaxed, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

Hello! My name is Siobhan, and I live just off Westdale Lane in Carlton, with my husband Rémi. We have two rescue cats, Frank and Petunia, who we absolutely adore. I’ve been around cats my whole life - my mum currently has five so it’s safe to say a love for cats runs in the family!
