Safety, trust & environment
In my home, pets have a safe and secure environment with a fully walled backyard, giving them plenty of space to play and explore. Whether indoors or outdoors, I ensure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. If caring for pets in their owner’s home, I follow their routine closely, providing walks, feeding, and companionship to keep them happy and stress-free.
Information Siobhan H. would like to know about your pet
Before I look after your dog, I’d love to know more about them! Every dog is unique, and I want to make sure they’re happy and comfortable. Please let me know: • Any medical conditions or allergies I should be aware of. • Triggers or fears (e.g., loud noises, certain people, other dogs, etc.). • Their energy level – Do they love to run around or prefer a gentle stroll? • Favorite activities and toys – What do they love to do for fun? • Any behavioral quirks – Are they nervous around new people, reactive on walks, or do they have any habits I should know about? • Commands they know – So I can reinforce their training while they’re with me. • Dietary restrictions – Any foods or treats they can/can’t have?
A typical day
For dogs, I’d focus on activities that balance fun and exercise while also fostering a good bond. Here are some ideas: 1. Interactive Walks – I’d vary the pace and route, letting the dog sniff around and explore new places, which is great for their mental stimulation. If they’re energetic, we could do a more brisk walk or even a jog. 2. Fetch & Retrieval Games – A classic! Throwing a ball, frisbee, or toy for the dog to chase. I’d make it a bit more challenging by changing up where I throw it or incorporating commands like “sit” or “stay” to practice obedience. 3. Tug-of-War – A fun game that helps with bonding and burns energy. I’d use a rope or a dog-safe toy for this and make sure it’s a friendly and controlled game. 4. Training & Trick Sessions – Short, positive reinforcement training sessions can be both fun and beneficial. Teaching them a new trick or practicing old ones (like “sit,” “shake,” or “roll over”) can be rewarding for them. 5. Scent Work – Dogs love to use their noses! I’d hide treats or toys around the yard or indoors and encourage them to find them. This is a great way to mentally tire them out. 6. Play Dates or Socializing – If the dog enjoys being around others, arranging playdates with other friendly dogs would give them an opportunity to interact and have fun together. 7. Puzzle Toys & Enrichment Games – For quieter days, I could give them a puzzle feeder or treat-dispensing toy. It’ll engage their brains and give them a challenge to solve. 8. Water Play – If the dog enjoys water, I’d let them splash around in a kiddie pool or play with a hose for a fun cooling-off activity on a warm day.

Safe, Loving Care for Your Pets
Pet care experience
What sets me apart is my background in animal care, having completed a dedicated course that gives me a deeper understanding of dogs’ needs, behavior, and well-being. Whether it’s caring for energetic puppies, providing gentle attention to senior dogs, or ensuring each walk is tailored to their personality, I bring both knowledge and compassion to every pet I look after.
Reviews
Immediately liked Suobhan and trusted her with my home and my dogs. Sadly, I feel my trust was thouroughly abused. Not only did ahe bring her boyfriend into my home without permission (sje later explained he needed to drive her), but on the last day she informed me during the day she could not do the 3.30pm booking due to work until 4. Refused to come after work and offered her BF as replacement - a person i had only briefly met by chance and who was not.covered by rover insurance. I am still chasing the refund with rover. Also, did not fill in the reports rover promises customers. Not impressed.
Siobhan is an absolute and total animal lover and has been since childhood. Whenever Siobhan got the chance from another dog owner either in the school playground or rugby pitch - Siobhan was always there to help walk someone’s dog. Siobhan never let go of the lead (even once when a dog that Siobhan was holding tried to bolt, (because they saw a dog they knew) Siobhan was aged four at this time. Siobhan understands animal behaviour - likes/dislikes, temperament, triggers, what dogs can and cannot eat. Siobhan is physically very fit and strong. Siobhan was very involved in rowing which required a high level of skill and strength. As I have a Newfoundland dog called Cosmo who is very powerful and strong - Siobhan’s strength has helped when Cosmo has become stressed on rare occasions when smaller dogs bark and growl at Cosmo because they are afraid. Siobhan is always able in these situations to soothe Cosmo and move on with the walk. Siobhan has also washed and groomed Cosmo. Siobhan has the physical strength and power to get Cosmo into the Woof Wash (which Cosmo actually enjoys) but can be a bit stubborn and will lie on her side in protest before being coaxed into the wash area. In conclusion, I think Siobhan would be an ideal candidate for your organisation. Yours sincerely Margaret Hennigan
