✨Availability for regular dog walking; Experience with all ages of dogs; Comfortable with all breeds and experience with different breeds✨ Studying a dog walking course to extend my knowlege which will include a first aid course. 🐕‍🦺 Sitting/drop in bookings: I will follow your instructions and leave your home neat and tidy. Knowing your dog's routine is very helpful as well as any house rules. Dog walks: it's useful to understand your dog's triggers and frequency and length of walk/s required. Experience with a variety of breeds including German Shepherds; Lurchers; and Cocker Spaniels. I spend a lot of time with my friends Lurcher who can be dog reactive so I know it's important to understand the needs of each individual dog. He is a very loving boy and we spend most of our time acting like loons and cuddling (anyone familiar with Lurchers know they love a cuddle and sleep!) I appreciate his reactivity is more frustration that he wants to greet other dogs, given my understanding of the cause of his behaviour I am very comfortable in calming him in the situation which means we can regularly go to social spots such as pubs and popular dog walk areas. I enjoy puppies who can be little terrors! Keeping them entertained for those bursts of energy is all the fun and welcoming the downtime during the angelic puppy sleep 🐶 having recently cared for many puppies. Previously regularly dog sat for two German Shepherds who were approaching their senior years. They could only walk a short distance. It was important to be mindful of sensitive areas when smoothing. Experience with my cousin's chocolate cocker who is very snuggly and happy to cuddle until a tennis ball is involved! My cocker lived up until he was 14 and his care and needs changed considerably. That being said, cockers are usually like puppies all their life and mine was no exception which kept me busy on any given day! Towards the later years it was important to adjust care to his needs such as when a walk was no longer possible or it needed to be shorterned as well as understanding when he might have been in pain / wasn't eating. I administered medication during this period and appreciate the difficulty in having a dog who isn't motivated by food. Many creative tactics used to administer meds! Please do let me know of any special requirements so that I understand your dogs individual needs. Appreciate some anxious dogs may require space or some dogs are super energetic and I'm equally happy to roll around the floor being a loon with them. Lived in Bristol my whole life so I am very familiar with many places to take dogs.
