Simran can care for
Availability
I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule so when Rover requests come in - they will most likely be my priority! I would eventually like to go full time with dog care once I have enough formal experience so this is my next step to playing with your furry friends everyday hopefully.

I will make sure to have as much communication as possible before the visit to ensure I fully understand what is expected of me and then I will follow up with hourly photo and text updates if that is something the owner would like. Unfortunately, I won't be providing services within my own home right now as we are currently taking care of a rabbit.
Information Simran D. would like to know about your pet
Most important to me is specific behaviours to cater to / how best to avoid dependant on the dog and their history (I have experience with reactive and anxious rescues). As well as this, a brief medical history (if relevant) in case of emergency and how they fair around other animals to make sure for the best walking experience. Once those are out of the way, I love to know what their ideal day would look like as well as what their favourite toys and games are to ensure the best visit.
A typical day
I like to identify what your dogs ideal day would be beforehand so that I can offer the best possible service and build a good relationship with them in case of repeated visits. Lots of walks will be on the cards and hopefully some socialising with other dogs. I love incorporating enrichment play into visits, especially in owners homes so that your pet becomes accustomed to someone new engaging with them within their environment. If you do not own specific enrichment toys (that's fine!), I am used to using their favourite toy (or slipper sometimes) and occasionally treats to play games such as hide and seek with them. I have a very large radius of areas I take requests from so it's hard to pinpoint one specific place. I spend most of my downtime on Hampstead Heath so that would be my most special place for walks but I understand that some owners would rather the safety of being in a smaller park with less animals around in case of reactive pets.

Pet care experience
✨ Now Watford & Bushey based! ✨ 🐾 I have been incredibly blessed to have had and loved so many dogs (and a couple cats) over the past 20 years or so. 4 family dogs (Sammy - big rescue mutt, Max - big black lab, Bailey - weimaraner puppy, Rufus - kerry blue terrier foster puppy, Scout - cocker spaniel rescue) and 2 cats (Seb - an elderly tabby cat - and Nala - a bengal kitten) and many more of your lovely companions! 🐈 Throughout uni, I worked as a freelance photographer/graphic designer by day and cleaner by night but I knew something was missing. I was fortunate enough to be trusted with the care of many of my friends and family friends dogs which brought me so much joy and since then have pursued animal care as much as I can in my spare time. 🎨 I now work flexibly with my creative work, cleaning and community outreach at HelloVet Bushey which means I get to meet lots of you lovely people and your wonderful pets out in the “wild”! 🩺 I have extensive experience walking, housesitting (day visits and overnight), feeding, giving regular pill form and liquid medication, bathing, regular enrichment playtime as well as a small amount of puppy training. The largest dog I've taken care of was Amber the Rough Collie and I am comfortable caring for large dogs as long as they are properly trained and not too reactive as I have a relatively small frame. 🌞 If you managed to get through all that, well done and thank you! Don’t hesitate to drop me a message if you have any questions or even if you’re interested in a combination of my services. You won’t be the first person to have requested housesitting for their pet with a side of deep cleaning or a professional pet portrait! I look forward to hearing from you. 📸

Reviews

Simran was so friendly and made me feel so at ease leaving Clarence. He absolutely adored her and the updates & photos were fab! Thanks again Simran 💕

Absolutely incredible service! Ginger is usually timid but seemed very relaxed with Simi. Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Couldn’t recommend Simi enough. We were so nervous to leave Connie with a new person for walks, but Simi really took the time to do a meet and greet, and understand Connie and what works for her. She was super communicative, and most importantly, you can see how much Connie loved spending time with her - such lovely photos every day. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Simi again!

Simran walked our dog Tucker and at the meet and greet, she was really engaging and knowledgeable about dog care and training. Will definitely book her again!
