***$20 OFF YOUR FIRST BOOKING WITH THIS LINK https://www.rover.com/sit/iloveurpup Hi! Thank you for visiting my profile! I'd like to start off by saying I've been a sitter for a few years now and I can say it's been the most spectacular job I've ever had! Ever since I was little, I knew from the start that dogs would be my passion. My first dog's name was Max, and he was the one who made me fall in love with them. We got him when I was about eight years old, and the bond we had was unbreakable. I felt personally connected to him, as I do with most dogs that I meet. I realize that every dog is unique, and has their own style of communicating, opening up and getting comfortable. I would just like you to know that I will always be very gentle and loving towards your pets until they feel at home with me! There is no fur baby who doesn't deserve to feel loved and cared for! I do work and sometimes my hours change/fluctuate but I work anywhere from 8-9 hours, typically 5 days a week. So my availability will change based on that, but I will do my best to accommodate you and your babies as best I can! I know when I'll be available usually at least a week in advance. I do potty breaks typically every 2-3 hours when I'm home, but not as often as when I'm working. You can always trust that your babies will be more than happy and well taken care of in my care. I send pictures and updates often, and am not shy when it comes to asking questions, please feel free to do the same! I've worked with tons of different personalities, breeds and ages. I'm pretty flexible about the dogs I will accept. My preferences on dogs will be that they are potty trained, and don't have severe separation anxiety. Since my shifts are sometimes so long, I won't be able to accommodate dogs with separation anxiety and this can put lots of stress on both I and the dog. If you think I would be a good match for you and your pooch, feel free to contact me! Also don't hesitate to ask me questions that you may have. Thank you for taking the time to check me out and I hope to hear from you!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I care for them as if they're my own pets. I love animals more than anything, and will make sure they get frequent potty breaks, feed them as close to their normal schedule as possible, clean up after them every visit and/or accident, and be attentive to their needs for love.

My babies are always happy when I come home, and I know their routines and tummies are being adequately treated (old pug problems). I had some home maintenance issues this and they were taken care of without problems with Silas’s help.

Silas is very loving with the pets and a great communicator. On top of that he left the house in spotless shape! Would definitely use him again.

We booked last-minute and are so grateful he was able to help on short notice. Silas did a fantastic job taking care of our dogs and kept us updated the entire time with messages and plenty of pictures. He also stayed and spent extra time with them so they could run off some energy in the backyard, which we really appreciated. We came home to happy, relaxed pups! We will definitely be booking with him again.

Our agreement was: 1. September 10th, evening feeding and outside relief with overnight stay at our home. 2. September 11th, morning feeding, outside relief return in evening for feeding, outside relief and overnight stay at our home. 3. September 12, morning feeding and outside relief. We returned at 2:00 this evening. Silas was very kind and seemed reliable for sitting our elderly pets. The sitting was scheduled for September 10 for evening feeding, outside relief, and overnight stay. September 11, morning feeding and outside relief, and return in evening after work for feeding, outside relief and overnight stay. Witness verified, that at 11:00 at night on the eleventh, Silas was not at our residence. His vehicle was not present. Witness also verified that the dogs barked all night due to being left alone by themselves. Our assumption is that Silas was not present on evening and for the overnight stay on the 11th.

Silas was able to watch the girls last minute for this one visit and I am very thankful he could even make it around the time that I needed!

Schedule

I work part time, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! My shifts are usually 6-8 hours 4 days a week. I tend to sleep during the day and am awake more at night, due to being at work typically until 3-4am. However, I am home quite often, and my partner works from home. So when boarding, we always have someone with them! When house sitting, I make it a point to do check ins at least every 8-10 hours depending on how long you're comfortable leaving the pets alone. :)

I have experience with senior dogs, medicated dogs, heartworm positive dogs, cats (senior, medicated, hairless), reptiles and even rodents! There isnt an animal I will not provide care for. My preferences are no boarding with dogs under a year old (more than happy to watch puppies in your home though), dogs without intense/severe separation anxiety (a little is okay and normal, but severe cases are destructive behaviors which can be difficult to accommodate), and of course house broken dogs. Crate trained is preferred, but not required. I will not refuse a dog who doesnt have a crate :)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
