I've recently moved back to the Bay Area, (as of September 2022). My beautiful Scottish terrier Gadget has passed away and I have lots of love to give your pets. Furthermore, I do not have pets of my own, as I have rehomed my African Sulcata tortoise Donatello and he's doing wonderfully in Washington state. I'm able to give your animals my full attention.

I love traveling around the Bay Area and it is a pleasure to come to your home and housesit while you are away. My main priority during my stay is to spend a lot of time with your pets while keeping your home safe and clean.

I can work with any pet that doesn't pose a threat of serious physical harm. I'm fine with dealing with complicated situations including multiple medications, end of life care, separation anxiety, barking, potty troubles and more. I need to know what a typical day will be like with your pet.
A typical day
I love going for walks, cuddling on the couch while watching nature shows, and training with positive reinforcement. I love lap cats too and cats that like to play or even fetch a wine cork. I may even be able to train your cat to use the toilet! Frisbee, sending pee mail around the neighborhood, playing dress up... whatever your pet is into:). I can also provide many types of reptiles, birds and rodents with the care they need. Some prices will be more or less than listed based on the services you need.

I've had pets since I was a child, first a hamster, then a rat, house finches, more rats, cats, dogs, a tortoise.... When I take care of other people's pets I've been responsible for medications, training and even administering fluids with a bag and needle (I am a California state licensed phlebotomist). I've also fostered puppies, kittens and pregnant cats until they found their forever homes.

Signe was an excellent sitter for Aki. She kindly visited in advance so I could make sure they were a good match, and Aki was comfortable with her right away. On the day of our trip, she arrived early to match our departure time, which was very helpful. During our trip, she sent us photos of Aki, so we could relax and enjoy our travels without worry. She carefully followed all of my detailed instructions, including weight management, nighttime tooth brushing, body wiping, and eye drops. She also took Aki on outings to places like the nearby beach and mountains using her own car, which I really appreciated. Most of all, I was grateful for her flexibility with the schedule so Aki would not have to stay alone for too long before we returned home. Signe was reliable, thoughtful, and truly caring. I would be very happy to book with her again.
Signe is communicative & helpful, experienced with older dogs and those that need daily medication. She is attentive and caring and has a flexible schedule for animals with separation anxiety.
Signe did a great job with Astrid's and taking care of our house .She sent us updates and pictures of Astrid. We would use Signe again.
