Dogs have been a constant love of my life but a career built around travel meant I couldn't have one of my own. So I found the next best thing: caring for other people's dogs when they can’t. That's taken me from simultaneously managing eight dogs for a couple in Hungary, to looking after a hostel's resident dog during a year living in Sri Lanka — and many happy dogs in between. Back home in Squamish, I've sat for dogs ranging from 3-month-old puppies to an 18-year-old tripod senior, and I currently do enriched walks and sitting with a local pet care company. Whether it's a bouncy pup or a gentle old soul, I bring the same patience and genuine enthusiasm. I also have experience with reactive dogs and understand that they need extra patience, awareness, and a calm handler. Your dog won't just be looked after, they'll be loved.

10/10 across the board. Very quick and responsive to set up the service and immediately felt comfortable in the meet and greet, as did my animals! Communicated very well and followed all instructions to a T. Will definitely be contacting Sierra again.
Sierra was great! I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She kept in communication with me and sent me lots of updates and pictures. My pup came home happy and content.
Sierra took excellent care of Rocket! She messaged me lots of updates and photos which was so great to see as it was her first time hanging out with our boy. The week went smoothly and coming home the house was very clean and Rocket was happy, clearly having a good week with Sierra while we were away! Would certainly book with her again.
Sierra was incredible with our pup and able to help us out at short notice. She took the time to come and meet him before the sit to give him time to warm up, as he's a little wary of strangers. Some behavioural issues cropped up before his stay with her, but she was able to take everything in her stride, manage his environment to make sure he stayed calm, and was super communicative about everything which helped put my mind at ease. It was clear that he adored her and was in safe hands! Bonus points for managing my escape artist of a cat, too! Can't thank you enough, and Haiku is already looking forward to his next stay :)

Schedule
Working from home on a flexible schedule makes me able to take breaks at any time. I can go for walks or breaks throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment
While getting to know eachother, I prefer to keep the dog on leash or in a fenced area. I follow the owners guidelines for what works for their dog an what is within their comfort zone.
A typical day
We can play fetch at the beach, go for a hike, or meet up with friends at the dog park. When your pup is tired, we can rest up before our next outing.
