Safety, trust & environment
I ensure the safety of pets by following the parents requests first. I take their age (and breed) into consideration when playing with each pet. For example, if you have a 10 year old cat that is independent and doesn’t interact much, I will allow the cat to do as they please as long as it’s safe. However if you have a very dependent, puppy I will include the dog in my daily activities within reason.
Information Sierra S. would like to know about your pet
If the dog has any allergies or dietary restrictions. What their favorite activities are. Do they have any abnormal behaviors or behaviors they tend to have when left alone? Any areas to watch them extra carefully around in the house/yard/ neighborhood?
A typical day
I love walking anywhere, but I love nature so I would prefer a park often with a few shady spots to take a second to cool down.

Pet care experience
I have been around dogs my entire life. I have experience with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and needs. I’ve cared for dogs that have medical needs like insulin and medication schedules. I have never not loved a dog I’ve ever experienced. As a teenager I rescued a dog from a neighbor and cared for her until cancer took her a few years too early. I also have experience with cats and caring for them. I have had small rodents for most of my adult life, so I’m comfortable with them as well! I have cared for birds and reptiles as well!
Reviews

Sierra was kind enough to house sit and watch Mino last minute however I think there was a misunderstanding on what that entailed. We were under the impression that house sitting meant that she would stay with Mino the whole weekend which we thought included walking and actually staying in the house. We had left a very detailed document on Mino’s habits and schedule and it did not look like it was followed despite us telling her that she gets two walks a day 30 min long. It did not look like she took her for long walks at all and only took her out to use the bathroom. Even when confirming she received the document she said did not have any questions so we assumed that she read and agreed to these things and did not require any additional fees. Additionally, she left Mino for 12 hours one day and for the majority of the day the next day even though we told her she has never been left alone for more than 5 hours. We were deeply anxious and upset about leaving her with Sierra as we came to find out she was alone for most of the day and was not played with or kept company. If you book with Sierra, I would encourage you to confirm that she understands what you would like her to do and that she is in agreement to do so. We personally will not be booking with her again.

Sierra is professional and cares for my pet as if it were her own. Never had any issues. Will continue to book her for all my pet sitting needs.
Sierra was wonderful with my dogs. We had a small mishap upon her arrival and she handled it incredibly! Thank you, Sierra! You helped us greatly and took care of our unusual situation with grace and care. We are grateful. :-)

Sierra is highly dependable and I have little to no worries about my pet when she is caring for her. Will continue to book again for when I go out of town.
