Animal Lover Providing Safe, Loving

Hello my name is Sierra Soto, thank you for visiting my profile. I have experience caring for dogs through dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight pet sitting. I have also pet sat for a friend for about a month on and off, where I helped with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure the dogs were comfortable and safe while their owner was away. I also have pets of my own, so I understand the importance of making sure animals are well cared for, loved, and safe. I’m very responsible, active, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I’m currently a student at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), where most of my classes are online, and I’m also a member of the NCCU softball team. Throughout the semester, I’ll occasionally be on campus for classes, practices, games, and ACL rehabilitation appointments, but I maintain a flexible schedule and always prioritize the pets in my care. Availability Update: * Dog Walking: My weekday schedule is mostly booked, so I’m currently accepting weekend dog walking requests. * House Sitting & Drop-In Visits: I’m available during both the week and weekends. While I may need to leave throughout the day for school, softball, or rehab commitments, I’ll communicate my schedule with you in advance and make sure your pets receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, potty breaks, and quality care. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and my goal is to provide dependable, loving care while giving you peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Safety, trust & environment

I currently provide care in my clients’ homes through drop-in visits, dog walking, and overnight pet sitting. Because I have two cats of my own at home, I do not offer boarding, but I am committed to providing excellent care in the environment where your pet feels most comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine. This includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, medication administration if needed, and plenty of love and attention. I understand that pets thrive on consistency, so I follow any instructions provided to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks or prefers quiet companionship, I adjust my care to meet their individual needs. I also love sending frequent updates, photos, and videos so owners can feel confident that their fur babies are happy, safe, and receiving the best possible care.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. As a college softball player, I am very accustomed to maintaining a structured schedule, staying organized, and managing my time effectively. This allows me to provide reliable and consistent care for pets while balancing my other responsibilities. I intentionally schedule my availability so I can give each pet the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it’s drop-in visits, dog walks, feeding, playtime, or overnight pet sitting, I make sure every pet receives personalized care based on their needs and routine. As both a pet owner and an active Rover sitter, caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy. Spending time with pets is one of the best parts of my day, and I always strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I also love keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind knowing their fur babies are happy and in good hands.

Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine, personality, and individual needs. Knowing their feeding schedule, exercise routine, favorite activities, and any special instructions helps me provide consistent care and keep them comfortable while their owner is away. I also appreciate knowing about their temperament, energy level, and any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of, such as anxiety, leash reactivity, fear of certain situations, or how they interact with other animals and people. Every pet is unique, and understanding these details allows me to build trust and create a positive experience for them. It’s also important to know about any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or emergency contacts ahead of time. My goal is always to provide safe, reliable, and personalized care while treating each pet as if they were my own. The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can ensure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
