Veterinary Student, Home Fulltime!

Hello! My name is Sierra, I'm currently a medical student at a world renowned Veterinary school - Tufts! 😊 As a future Veterinarian, I am dependable, highly experienced, and dedicated to my work. I have been providing these services for animals of all ages, sizes, and needs for the past 6 years on Rover. I have worked with animals for over 15 years, and I've gathered plenty of experience in administering medication, taking precautions for anxious and elderly pets, and communicating clearly through any and all circumstances. I'm also animal CPR trained, alongside experienced in triaging pets in critical condition. I have graduated as pre-veterinary student at Colorado College, supporting my education and family with the work I'm the most passionate about- Animals! Currently I am putting my passion and expirience to work as I care for, examine, and treat pets of all sizes and backgrounds. All these experiences make me a dependable and knowledgeable sitter for all your fur babies and their needs 😊 My home is spacious, always supervised, and close to many walking paths and dog parks. I'm very willing to work with you and make sure all your needs, alongside your pets', are taken care of any time-- day or night! 😊 A more detailed list of my experience includes: -Small (4lbs) and Large dog breeds (120+ lbs) -High maintenance care for elderly cats and dogs including fostering animals, giving end of life care, and administering oral and injectable medications -Taking precautions and monitoring animals struggling with allergies, cancer, and chronic illness -Highly experienced in animals with anxiety due to past families or trauma -Early puppy training and sitting (polite play, positive reinforcement, early commands, and potty training) -Over 4,000 hours of animal care and research experience alongside shadowing at multiple veterinary clinics and currently working at a Veterinary Hospital -Keeping active pups happy, walking up to 10 miles a day or daily runs -Fostered 3 rescue dogs with behavioral needs that I helped care for long term. One of which was a mixed Boxer puppy and the other was a 4 y/o Boston Terrier. As both grew, I worked with them as they learned to cope with anxieties and adjust to family life. - I also fostered a 16 y/o Siberian Huskey for 2 years, giving him medications, vitamins, helping him move around and exercise, and doing everything to help make him more comfortable. -As a Bonner Fellow at Colorado College I actively engage in the Colorado Springs community, wildlife, and animal care clinics and humane societies. -I'm well versed in clear communication, paying attention to detail, maintaing calm and clear communications in tough situations, and providing the best care possible! 😊 I have a wide range of experience in this field, but am happy to tailor my rates to fit the specific needs of your fluffy family members- if they're easily satisfied or need full time TLC! I'm also more than happy to adjust rates for pups with a flexible schedule.

House Sitting • Dec 05, 2025

We booked Sierra to stay with our two rescue pups while we traveled out of the country. We had never left them with non family prior to this. Sierra did a wonderful job. She came and met the boys ahead of time and put us at ease that she would be more than capable of handling the job. She was very present during the sit and very communicative. As a vet student, she gave us great advice and feedback regarding behavior and possible allergies. She sent lots of pictures and the dogs were happy and very well taken care of. We live in an old house and Sierra had a few hiccups but she dealt with them very well and didnt let it interfere with our trip. We would love to use Sierra again!

Sierra was absolutely fantastic with Paisley! She sent lots of updates and somehow managed to tire our girl out with lots and lots of play, which is very hard to do! Wouldn’t hesitate to leave Paisley with Sierra again.

Dog Walking • Jun 22, 2025

Sierra was responsive to my request and messages. We booked and all was set. She confirmed the morning of the walk, and kept me updated on her arrival. She did great meeting Joe and on the walk. He has a great vibe and you can tell she loves animals. Both my pups were calm and relaxed around her.

Sierra is amazing! I have a lot of anxiety about who takes care of my two 80lb rescue pittie mixes (they’re my babies) and she was incredible with them! She constantly checked in which was exactly what I needed to calm my nerves. She has a background in veterinary medicine and it shows. She also made an effort to leave my home in the same shaped as when I left and clean up after my messy, big guys. Can’t thank her enough for making a stressful situation so easy. Hope to work with her again soon!
