Pet care experience
Trustworthy Dog Lover!
Growing up, my environment was filled with dogs, which gave me hands-on experience with different breeds early on. I have cared for everything from small, high-energy breeds like Chihuahuas and Yorkies to larger and stronger breeds like Rottweilers and Pit Bulls. This exposure taught me how to adapt to the unique needs of each dog, including their routines, feeding habits, personality quirks, and behaviors. My ability to connect with dogs of all sizes and temperaments ensures they feel secure and cared for under my supervision. Overall, I have six years of experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, making knowledge, communication, and observation key skills of mine! These skills have been used to care for all types of dogs, whether it be seniors, new borns, or behavior-challenged dogs. Don't hesitate to reach out; I am always willing and able to assist in any situation! :)

Ratings and reviews
Mochi was well taken care of by Sierra and her family. He was very happy and energetic when I picked him up. It was sad leaving him as it was a week long, but I felt very good after great updates and pictures from Sierra. Highly recommend, thank you!!

Sierra is a great sitter! Good communication, she makes the whole process easy and we felt safe leaving our boy with her.

Sierra is amazing, Charlie loves her and her family like his own. He has bad separation anxiety but felt instantly at home over there. I never have to worry about Charlie when I leave him with her. Will always book with Sierra when going on trips. Thank you so much

Super thankful on the job well done Accommodated my baby even with short notice.

While I appreciated Sierra accepting my request on short notice and coming over for a meet and greet a couple of days beforehand, I was disappointed with the overall care my senior dog received. Angel (9+ years old female German Shepherd with Addison’s disease) is used to someone being home consistently, and I requested potty breaks every 4–5 hours, but visits were brief and sometimes spaced longer than that. I also had to ask for updates and pictures, which I expected would be provided proactively. When I returned home, Angel’s water bowl was completely empty, which was concerning. I take responsibility for not outlining every detail more explicitly, but I felt the care provided was minimal for a senior dog with medical needs.

Sierra is so helpful and caring towards my two dogs

Schedule
Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine; my flexible schedule allows me to prioritize the needs of the pets in my care. As a high school graduate, I have learned to manage my time efficiently, ensuring I provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. As a college student, I am able to schedule coursework around those in my care, giving each pet the structure they deserve while staying on top of my responsibilities. My ability to balance these tasks ensures that pets always feel cared for, even during busy periods. In addition, having free weekends allows me to dedicate more time to those in my care; I use this time for grooming, mental stimulation, or fun activities depending on the dogs' needs and abilities. My focus on time management ensures that each pup is always prioritized, with plenty of quality time and attention incorporated into their routine. Overall, my goal is to provide a calm, nurturing, and healthy environment. I can ensure that pet care is prioritized in my routine, allowing me to meet the needs of every dog I meet.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home, revolves around creating a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment that fosters trust, respect, and well-being. Safety is my top priority; this includes securing the living space to prevent accidents, deep cleaning after every stay, and ensuring pets have access to fresh water and appropriate food for their dietary needs. In terms of health, I carefully monitor their behavior to identify any signs of distress or illness and address them promptly. For outdoor activities, I use secure leashes or harnesses, supervise them, and monitor them while off leash closely. Building trust with animals is essential to providing effective care. I take time to understand their unique personalities, preferences, and routines. By approaching them gently, respecting their boundaries, and offering positive reinforcement, I create a sense of security and reliability. Whether it’s maintaining consistency in feeding schedules, potty breaks, and spending quality time/playing, I strive to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for each dog I meet. I can ensure they feel valued and cared for. Overall, the environment I provide is clean, stimulating, and adapted to their specific needs. I offer comfortable resting areas, engaging toys, and plenty of space to explore. I respect established routines and follow your care instructions precisely, maintaining a seamless transition for your pet. My approach combines attentiveness, compassion, responsibility, and professionalism to ensure every pet thrives under my care.
A typical day
A typical day under my care ensures a fun, safe, and structured stay for your dog, providing plenty of rest, supervision, exercise, and individual attention. Mornings begin with a supervised potty break and time to explore my 3-acre fenced property, allowing dogs to sniff, stretch their legs, and enjoy the outdoors before breakfast. Each dog receives meals according to their normal feeding schedule, along with any medications or special care requested by you. After breakfast, dogs have the opportunity to walk in a safe, quiet neighborhood or property, depending on their needs and abilities. Activities include swimming, exploring the property, training practice, playing with mentally stimulating toys, as well as other enrichment activities that allow dogs to exercise both their bodies and minds. Dogs are never forced into the water and are supervised around the pool at all times. In addition, dogs have time to relax and nap while I refresh their water, clean their areas, monitor their overall condition, and give them individual attention and enrichment. Rest periods are an important part of the day because boarding/sitting should provide a healthy balance between activity and downtime rather than keeping dogs constantly stimulated. Activities can be rotated throughout their stay, including treat puzzles, sniff and find games, property exploration, and fun photo sessions. In the evening, dogs receive dinner according to their normal routine, followed by a check of their appetite and overall condition before settling in for the night. My goal is to provide more than a place to stay; I want dogs to have a safe, comfortable, home-style boarding/sitting experience where they can explore, play, relax, and receive personalized care throughout their stay.
