In addition to giving dogs and cats all the pets, I'm a working artist with flexible hours. This means for the most part I have open availability to come give your fur babies attention and exercise!

About Sidra M.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I believe in treating dogs and cats with respect, being attentive to their boundaries and building trust just like you would any person. If an animal is outgoing I'm happy to match that energy, and for more shy friends I let them set the pace. I will also be sure to respect any rules or guidelines you set out for your pet's behavior (eg, no jumping on people, no climbing on furniture).

Information Sidra M. would like to know about your pet
I'm a big fan of communication! If there is any training you're working on with your dog, please let me know the specific commands you'd like me to use if any. Likewise, if there are any challenging behaviors your dog tends to exhibit on walks (eg, pulling, being leash reactive toward other dogs), letting me know in advance will help me prepare to give your dog a fun and safe experience. If it turns out to be a great match and you'd like to set up recurring walks, I'm happy to work on resolving some of those problem behaviors over time. I have basic training experience with puppies and adult dogs, and through careful socialization took my adult rescue dog from being extremely leash reactive to greeting new dogs with excitement and playfulness.
A typical day
I love finding ways to incorporate mental stimulation into walks as well as getting your pup some exercise! This can look like making sure a dog gets time to examine interesting sights and smells, or incorporating training on walks if that's a part of your dog's routine (or if you'd like it to be).

Loving pet industry professional
Pet care experience
Hi there, thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Sidra and I'd love to get to know your pet. I've been around dogs & cats my whole life. I've lived with and cared for young puppies, senior dogs, big, small and everything in between. Prior to COVID I was working in the pet industry at a holistic pet store here in Portland, and would be happy to share my knowledge if there are any behavioral or dietary issues you've been working on with your furry friends. I'm comfortable with all ages, anxiety levels, mobility needs, and energy levels. I also love cats and would LOVE to give attention to your feline friends as well! Please don't hesitate to reach out to see if me and your pet would be a good match—I look forward to hearing from you!
Reviews

Sidra took care of my 14 wk old puppy multiple times in one day which made me feel so reassured during my long shift. Sidra went above and beyond and made time to come and meet my young pup a few weeks ago so I could familiarize her with our routine. Grateful to have a rover sitter I can trust as a first time puppy mom!

Absolutely love Sidra! She is an amazing cat sitter and we look forward to booking her again! :)

Sidra is the best! We love that our kitties love Sidra and seem so happy in the pictures. 10/10

Sidra is fantastic, and did an excellent job keeping my kitties happy and sociable while I was away. Will definitely be booking again!!!
