I work full-time in Roanoke but I and am happy to help locals with their pets at my house. I do work full days with ability to let dogs out during lunch breaks! Very important- I have a toddler who is very very mobile and outgoing. At this time, I can only accept client offers if your pets have been around children and displayed positive behaviors. Of course I always monitor but can't take any chances if there's a negative history with children.

In my home, I require crates so that I can cycle dogs in/out because I keep my dog separate, as he is territorial (he has small dog syndrome haha). If you do not have a crate and don't typically crate your dog, we can discuss on a case-by-case basis. I guarantee your dog will not be crated except for if they display separation anxiety and when I have to let my dog out. I always let my Rover clients hang out and cuddle and roam around!

Since I am watching dogs at my home, it is important to know about separate anxiety (I have had some dogs chew/tear things up) and as I mentioned before, I'll make sure to crate before leaving the home. Also, I have two indoor/outdoor cats. They typically hide from guest dogs but if they are comfortable, they get curious!
A typical day
I have a large fenced-in backyard so this is a dog’s playground! We love to sit outside as well as take walks. And cannot forget a lot of cuddles and relaxation in this house!

A little about me: I am an Occupational Therapist and live and work in Roanoke. I would love to help with your pets when I’m able. I dogsat throughout my graduate studies and have developed great clientele on and off of Rover. 🐾 Now here's a little about why I have the joy of working for Rover! Dogs are four-legged bundles of love. I am an experienced dog owner (weiner dog, beagle mix, blue heeler/Boston terrier, black & yellow labs, and good ol mutts)! As for dog type, I am not picky at all and have experience with detailed feeding and training preferences. Also open to looking over any other types of pets on a case-by-case basis 😎
