I’m currently a trainee clinical psychologist with a very flexible working pattern. I work from home three days a week, work in person two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), and usually have weekends free. This flexibility means I can easily fit walks, playtime, toilet breaks, feeding schedules, and plenty of companionship into my day. For drop-ins and walks, I have my own car, so I can travel throughout Cardiff and work around your pet’s routine rather than expecting them to fit around mine. Whether your dog needs an early morning walk, lunchtime company, or an evening visit, I’m happy to accommodate where possible.

Safety, trust & environment
Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, their wellbeing will always be my priority. I live alone in a calm environment with access to a secure garden, and I’m used to making my home safe and comfortable for visiting dogs. I know every dog has different routines, boundaries, and preferences, so I’ll always follow your instructions carefully—from feeding and medication to walks, sleeping arrangements, and house rules. I want your pet’s experience to feel as familiar and stress-free as possible. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll always treat your space with the utmost respect and professionalism. I’m also completely happy with meet-and-greets before booking, and if you have home cameras or any other requests that help you feel reassured while you’re away, I’m more than happy to accommodate them. Building trust with both pets and their owners is incredibly important to me, and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and plenty of photos throughout your pet’s stay.

Pet care experience
What sets me apart is that caring for dogs has always been more than a hobby—it's something I've genuinely loved for as long as I can remember. I've been the primary carer for three family dogs, from raising and training puppies to caring for a senior dog who is now 14 years old. I have experience training puppies and young dogs, helping them learn good manners, basic commands, and positive routines using reward-based methods. I've also rescued an adult Shih Tzu, so I understand that every dog has their own personality and may need patience while settling into a new environment. I'm confident caring for dogs with additional medical needs too. I previously looked after a diabetic Siberian Husky and was responsible for administering her insulin injections, so I'm comfortable following medication schedules and providing attentive care. Over the years I've also spent a lot of time learning about dog behaviour, training, and welfare through books and independent research because it's something I'm genuinely passionate about. I'm currently living and working in Cardiff while my own dogs are back home in North Wales, and I miss having dogs around every day. That's why I'd love to provide your dog with the same care, attention, and affection I'd give my own—whether that's long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply making them feel safe and loved while you're away.

Reviews
I’ve known Siân for many years, and she is truly the most caring, thoughtful, and dependable friend you could ever ask for. When it comes to looking after pets, there is no one I trust more. I trust her with absolutely everything, especially my own dog. Siân has looked after my toy poodle, Charlie, many times, and he absolutely adores her. Every time he sees her, he’s over the moon, which tells me everything I need to know about how she treats him. She is incredibly responsible, deeply loving, and always goes the extra mile to ensure dogs feel safe and happy. If you’re looking for someone you can 100% trust with your fur baby, Siân is the absolute best choice!
Siân is a kind and caring person who is passionate about the welfare of animals. She has a special attraction to dogs, and has experience in caring and training her own , one of which was an abused puppy mill breeding bitch that was rescued,She also has looked after a diabetic Siberian husky that was on twice daily injections as well as other medications.Due to her present situation in studying for for her doctorate qualification she is unable to have her own dog as it wouldn’t be fair on the dog to be left on its own, however she feels a big void in her life , and misses the company and walking of her dogs,This opportunity will be great for her and help responsible owners to manage their circumstances, and have the reassurance that their beloved pet is well looked after.
