Pet care experience

Friendship, love, support, empathy

I raised a now senior dog who knows around 30 tricks. I trained him myself. He has special dietary needs and requires a bit of additional support, so I understand how important it is to have someone who will trust your care instructions without questions or judgement. Animals NEED us; they rely on us. In turn, they make our lives better. I grew up with animals and can't imagine my life without them.

Shyla has been extremely accommodating during our trip to Billings. Our dog seemed very relaxed with her and her pet family. She took our dog for 4 days and 2 overnights over our 2 week stay.

Shyla has taken care of my dogs on multiple occasions and has always done a superb job. Even when my dogs were puppies and required a lot of training and patience she didn't back down from the challenge.

My mini aussie is kind of a high-energy handful, and she doesn't like a lot of people... but she LOVES Shyla. She gets so excited to see her, everytime, and is always very well taken care of.

Pets

A typical day

My home is low-key and relaxed. We may go on an occasional walk or trip to the dog park, but we much prefer to stay indoors. We have a back yard to accommodate the pets for playing in the kiddie pool on hot days and for potty breaks. Since the yard isn't fenced yet, we have tethers for the dogs to roam the yard safely in a way that makes them feel less constrained than a leash, but still makes sure they won't run off. We won't leave the dogs on the tethers unattended, and only put them on there for potty breaks. We prefer dogs that we can trust not to get into things. Our cats can be constrained to different rooms, but we prefer dogs that are calm around cats when possible.

Let me know if your dog has special needs, particular pet peeves, things they like, commands they know and will respond to, etc. The more I know the better! There is not such thing as "too much information" when it comes to your pets!! Please feel free to leave me with long instruction lists, or send long messages on Rover. Ask me lots of questions. I appreciate how important our pets are in our lives and want you to set them, myself, and you up for a successful, stress-free stay!
