As a holistic Eastern Medicine clinical practitioner, specializing in birthwork and infant care, I bring an exceptional level of compassion, observation, and customized care to your fur babies and my pet-sitting practice. In my professional work, I understand that true wellness comes from honoring the unique constitution of the individual—and the exact same is true for our pets. No two animals are alike, and a one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn't work. My clinical background gives me a distinct advantage in managing the specialized lifestyle needs of your pet for their highest optimal daily living. I am uniquely suited for: - Precise Dietary & Supplement Routines: If your pet is on a complex raw food diet, strict allergen-free regimen, or requires a precise schedule of vitamins and herbs, I administer their nutrition needs as directed by your and your pet’s veterinarian protocols with professional accuracy. - Senior & Special Needs Care: My training makes me highly attuned to comfort, joint mobility, and gentle pacing. I provide a patient, supportive environment for aging pets and am meticulous about timely medication administration. - Anxious or Sensitive Animals: I understand how a change in environment can disrupt an animal's natural balance. I bring a grounded, calm presence that helps soothe separation anxiety and keeps sensitive pets feeling safe and secure. By closely observing your pet's unique baseline of energy, appetite, and behavior, I can quickly note any subtle shifts and ensure they remain truly thriving and happy while you are away."

Information Shweta P. would like to know about your pet
To ensure I provide the highest level of customized, safe, and stress-free care for your pet, I like to understand their unique physical baseline and daily rhythms ahead of time. During our initial communication or Meet & Greet, we can discuss: 1. Diet, Health, & Physical Baseline Nutrition Protocols: What are their exact serving sizes, preferred food prep, and dietary restrictions or allergies? (Please let me know if they have specific water preferences too, like filtered vs. tap!) Medical & Supplement Support: Do they require any vitamins, herbs, or medications? What are the exact dosages, timings, and your preferred method for administering them? Physical Boundaries: For seniors or puppies, what is their normal energy level, and do they have any joint or mobility limitations I should accommodate on walks? 2. Behavioral Temperament & "Sensory" Quirks Environmental Triggers: How do they react to loud noises, thunder, fireworks, or sudden movements? What comforts them most if they feel startled or anxious? Social & Leash Boundaries: How do they feel about seeing other dogs, cats, or strangers while out on a walk? Are they prone to pulling or chasing local wildlife? Comfort & Handling: Do they have any sensitive areas where they dislike being touched (e.g., paws, ears, tail)? What is their favorite way to relax or play? 3. Daily Rhythm & Home Logistics The Potty Routine: What is their typical daily schedule for bathroom breaks or litter box maintenance? Are they fully house-trained, or should I watch for nervous accidents? Alone Time Comfort: How do they typically behave when left alone, and what is the maximum window of time they are comfortable being by themselves? Do they use a crate, or do they have free roam of specific rooms? Sleeping Habits: Where do they typically sleep at night? Are any areas of the home strictly off-limits? 4. Safety & Emergency Contingencies Gear Check: I love to do a quick physical run-through of their walking gear (harnesses, collars, leashes) to ensure a perfect, escape-proof fit. Medical Contacts: Who is your primary veterinarian, and do you have a preferred 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital nearby? Who is your trusted local contact person if you are unreachable in an emergency?
A typical day
A Day Centered Around Your Pet's Unique Rhythm My daily routine is highly flexible and revolves entirely around your pet's established habits and natural flow. Because I am an entrepreneur and control my own schedule, your dog will enjoy the comfort of a fully present caretaker throughout the day—their routine dictates my hours, never the other way around. A typical day begins with a grounded, structured morning walk tailored to your dog's natural pace, followed by breakfast served exactly to your instructions. The middle of the day is a seamless blend of dedicated companionship, regular potty breaks, and peaceful rest. We wrap up the afternoon with a closing walk, dinner, and a soothing evening wind-down routine to ensure they feel completely safe, content, and relaxed for the night. Fun & Enriching Activities Tailored to Your Dog I believe "fun" should support an animal's complete well-being, balancing physical exercise with mental fulfillment. Depending on your dog's unique constitution, age, and energy level, our activities will include: "Sniffari" Sensory Walks: For dogs, sniffing is a vital way to process the world and naturally lowers their heart rate and stress. I love taking dogs on dedicated "sniffari" walks where they are allowed to safely explore and take in the scents of nature at their own pace. Mental Enrichment & Brain Games: To keep their minds sharp and satisfied, I incorporate interactive food puzzles, licking mats, or hiding healthy treats around the living space to encourage their natural foraging instincts. For the Active & Curious: We’ll play engaging games of fetch, gentle tug-of-war, or practice basic commands to happily burn off extra physical energy. For the Wise Seniors: Fun looks like low-impact mobility walks, soothing companionship, and plenty of dedicated, gentle affection and belly rubs. Cozy Companionship: When it's time to rest, your pet will never feel rushed or overlooked. Whether they prefer relaxing right next to me while I work or just want a quiet, reassuring presence in the room, I provide a calm environment that feels just like home.

Reviews
Shweta was awesome with my senior dog! My pup is reactive, anxious, and very wary of strangers, so she needs someone patient, kind, and confident. Shweta also has such a calming presence, which helped my dog feel comfortable and build trust with her quickly. Before my trip, Shweta was flexible about taking the time to work with us through walks and home visits so my dog could adjust slowly and at her own pace. I really appreciated how attentive and respectful she was of my dog’s boundaries, always taking cues from her and prioritizing her safety and comfort. During my trip she was constantly in touch, providing me with updates and pics (per my request), and I was able to enjoy my vacation, knowing that my pup was safe and well looked after. She also treated my apartment with great care and respect. I will be booking Shweta again — I know my pup will be so excited to see her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, thoughtful, and professional sitter.
I can highly recommend Shweta as a pet sitter. She lovingly and attentively cared for my cat Miss P while we traveled to Europe for 15 days. Shweta spent time every day actively playing with and entertaining our very active teenager. We got frequent updates on Miss P's well being, as well as video calls and photos of our baby. She followed the feeding timings and measurements to a T, washed her food and water bowls daily, and kept her feeding area as well as her litter box extremely clean. She was very trustworthy and respectful of our home, and I commend her Professionalism and loving care. We will certainly use her again, and recommend Shweta highly.
24 May, 2026 My name is Josefa V. and I am a Rover Care Provider (Cats & Dogs) since 2016. I am writing on behalf of Shweta P., Holistic Eastern Medicine Clinical Practitioner in New York City, NY. I am recommending Shweta as a Pet care provider with Rover.com as I have known her since 2009 during my tenure as Events manager AND Faculty Liaison for two major Alternative Learning and Holistic Wellness Centres in NYC. Her work and dedication in the areas of health & wellness, caregiving, and advocacy are both exceptional and unsurpassed. Shweta’s experience in working with prenatal & postnatal women and infants has enabled her to acquire the very same skill sets needed in the care of pets. She's well-versed in the understanding of both observational and anecdotal evidence-base experiences in the wellbeing of humans and animals. Shweta’s conscientiousness and keen interest in best practices for the care of your pet(s) enable her to correctly anticipate both owners’ and pets’ needs and how to best manage and support them. This also makes her an invaluable resource and an asset to Rover.com platform (or any organisation fortunate enough to have her on their team). I endorse her without pause. Sincerely, Josefa V.
