Hello dogs, cats and human! I am a rather introverted person who is slow to warm up, but I have always loved dogs and cats. (1) My stories with cats Honestly, I don’t have my own cats yet, but I do have a cat nephew named Jojo, who is seven years old. His photo is always on my phone, and I believe he brings me good luck. I’ve taken care of Jojo several times when his parents were away, from daily feeding and play sessions to cleaning the litter box and just sitting quietly with him when he wanted company. I’ve also helped two friends in Berlin look after their very cute cats (feeding, playing, and cleaning the litter box). With Jojo and my friends’ cats, I’ve learned to read different cat personalities, and I get along well with both shy and outgoing kitties. (2) My stories with dogs For a long time I wanted to meet more dogs by walking or pet-sitting them, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready for that responsibility. That changed a few months ago when I became a temporary caretaker for a rescued stray dog. He was a two-year-old boy who really needed to socialize with people and other dogs. Because of him, I stepped out of my comfort zone and started talking to different dogs (and their owners), which actually helped ease my social anxiety. Watching his change was a beautiful journey. At first he was alert to every little noise and ate everything too fast. Over time, he learned to sleep soundly and even became a bit picky about his food. It was a little frustrating at times, but mostly heartwarming, because it showed he finally knew he had a home. Sadly, due to personal reasons I couldn’t adopt him myself, and since I live in a WG I can’t offer daycare at my place. He has now been adopted by a very loving family. I don’t want to disturb them, but I miss spending time with my furry friend very much. Caring for Jojo, my friends’ cats, and especially the rescued dog has shown me how much I enjoy being part of an animal’s daily life and seeing them feel safe, understood and happy. I also know how important it is for pet parents to have someone reliable, gentle and attentive when they are away. That’s why I’m here: to offer both cat care (drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, litter box cleaning) and dog walking (1-on-1, at your dog’s pace), so your furry friends can get my full attention and loving care.
