Hi, I’m Tay. I’m licensed, insured, and CPR + first aid certified. I have had dogs my whole life, for 21 years, and I have been a cat mom for the last two. For the past five years, I have worked professionally with pets of all sizes, from 10-pound lap dogs to 110-pound giants. I am very familiar with breeds like German Shepherds and Chow Chows, but I enjoy connecting with every pet I meet. I have hands-on experience with senior pets, special diets, and giving both pill and liquid medications. I have also helped manage tricky behaviors, like leash pulling or keeping pets from eating things they should not. Friends and family call me an animal whisperer because I can read animal moods easily and adjust to what each one needs, whether that is play, calm, or comfort.

I take a calm, patient approach when meeting and caring for pets. I never rush interactions. instead, I read their body language and use gentle cues (plus a few treats) to build trust. I carefully follow any instructions you provide and tailor my routine to each pet’s needs, including potty breaks and walks that can range from 10 minutes to an hour. Whether I’m in your home or hosting your pet, their comfort and safety always come first.

I cannot recommend Shontaeia highly enough. On her very first job caring for my cats, she quite literally saved one of their lives. In discussion with me, she took my cat to the emergency animal hospital. Her quick thinking, compassion, and willingness to act made all the difference. Throughout the entire ordeal, she went far above and beyond what anyone could expect from a pet sitter. She spent extra hours caring for both of my cats, making sure they were comfortable, loved, and well cared for during an incredibly stressful time. She even learned how to use a pill piller so she could administer my cat's new medication correctly. She stayed in constant communication with me, providing frequent updates, answering my questions, and brainstorming ideas with me while I was away. Knowing she was there, advocating for my cat and treating both of them as if they were her own, gave me tremendous peace of mind. If you're looking for someone who is responsible, compassionate, resourceful, and genuinely devoted to the animals in her care, I wholeheartedly recommend her. She didn't just care for my cats—she became their advocate when they needed one most, and I will always be grateful.

Shontaeia gave us so much peace of mind with the care she provided to our senior cat! Our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and has been on a new medication, and Shontaeia was attentive to this and extremely reliable in administering the right dose at the right time for this and a separate med. And photos and report with each drop-in visit! We came home to a happy cat!

Schedule
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I often say they understand me better than most people. I feel at peace and truly myself around them. I currently have four cats who are my world, and I take their care very seriously. Pet care fits easily into my daily life, and I’m fortunate to have a flexible schedule right now. While I do have a few vacations planned this summer and am a college student, I work remotely from my MacBook and can often adjust around client needs.
