Before any services are provided, I will set up a meet and greet to ensure I’m a good fit for your pet and your needs. First and foremost, I want to make sure we all get along and you feel excited to leave your pet with me! For pet visit care, you can expect me to do things such as: ensure their water bowl is full, clean their litter box (cats), feed them, give them pets and treats, pick up any small accidents (potty or house cleanliness-related), or let them out into a fenced backyard (dogs) for a bit. This, of course, can change depending on your needs for your service. Happy to adjust if needed for dogs that might need more specific care, such as medical treatments. Pet sitting would include all this, as well as walks for the pups and additional cuddle time! If tending to my own errands or other client’s pets during the day, I will only be up to 5 hours away from the home at a time, unless told otherwise is necessary. With house sitting, you can rest assured your home will be respected and taken care of. I will make sure I leave things clean, and your pets happy.

Information Shonie K. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any quirks about your pets I need to know about! I want to ensure we’re a good fit, and that they feel safe and comfortable with me for the best experience. Questions to think about are: How is your dog around other dogs? Is there anything, such as loud noises, that frightens them? Are there any health conditions I need to be aware of? Etc.

A typical day

As a sitter, I’m down to both chill and be cozy with less energetic dogs, or explore the neighborhood and nearby dog park to play fetch with more high-energy ones! If they’re working on new skills, we can practice those together, too!

Pet care experience

Having grown up with dogs and cats, I know how important taking care of our fur babies is! I have lots of experience taking care of both, big and small, for friends and family. I’d love to extend that personalized care I provide to my own dog to your pets!

Shonie, watched my dog, Henry, many times before he passed away from cancer. She was one of the few people I trusted to take care of, and love him, like I did! I would 100% recommend her to take care of your furry babies!

Shonie was so great with Poa! She took such wonderful care of him, even with all of his meds and other health requirements. Highly recommend!

Shonie is a wonderful caregiver who always leaves my shower better than she found it. My critters absolutely adore her. I couldn’t recommend Shonie enough!

I love my dog, but he can be challenging on occasion. Pep is a senior Frenchton, with anxiety and recent health challenges. So when I was leaving for a multi-day trip I was stressed about leaving him behind. Luckily I had gotten to know Shonie through work, and knew her to be dependable, caring and trustworthy. Shonie was hands down the best choice to watch over Pep, she was patient and kept us updated which put my mind at ease! Getting to know Shonie as a coworker I know she loves being outside, going on walks, and being adventurous- and since Pep likes none of those things (and she was amazing with him) that just goes to show regardless of your pets energy level, Shonie is an excellent choice!
