As a full-time housewife, my schedule is entirely dedicated to your pet's happiness and safety. Our household operates like a well-oiled team to ensure constant care. The day starts early at 4:30 AM, when my husband gets up for work, both of us will provide the first potty break of the morning for our guest pets. Because I am home throughout the day, your pet will never be left unattended and will receive frequent potty breaks every 2–4 hours. We follow a structured routine that balances physical activity with mental enrichment. Mornings and late afternoons are reserved for neighborhood walks or trips to the community park near our home to explore 'new smells'. During the day, I utilize our sunroom and fenced yard to provide a safe environment for play and relaxation. Evenings are a time for wind-down and cuddles, and you can expect a detailed update from me daily. To ensure total transparency, I keep a daily log of eating, potty, and activity habits to share with you at the end of the stay.

I live in a single-family home featuring a temperature-controlled sunroom for lounging and a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play and exercise. To ensure the highest level of safety, my husband’s postdoctoral training in the College of Veterinary Medicine provides an expert layer of oversight for all our guests. To maintain a healthy environment, I sanitize and clean our pet spaces daily, and all puzzle toys are sanitized between guests. My daughters have been taught strict ground rules for interacting with guest pets: they only approach dogs who are relaxed and never disturb a pet while they are eating or sleeping. All interactions between guest pets and my children are 100% supervised by me at all times. We love to explore the community park near our house and go on neighborhood walks, and I will keep you at ease with frequent photo and video updates of your pet’s stay. To ensure total transparency, I keep a daily log of eating, potty, and activity habits to share with you at the end of the stay.

I’d love to know a few details before we meet: Socialization & Interaction: How does your dog typically react to new people and other dogs? It is helpful to know if they are shy, excitable, or selective with their friends. Understanding their comfort level with humans and other pets ensures we can maintain a peaceful and harmonious space for everyone. Health & Wellness: Is your pet up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention? Please share any details regarding medications or senior care needs, as I am experienced with both. Triggers: Does your dog have any specific fears or triggers (squirrels, loud noises, bicycles) that I should look out for during our neighborhood walks? Home Rules: Are they house-trained, and do they have any specific house rules (e.g., allowed on furniture, crate-trained, or a 'release word' for treats)? Diet: Do they have any food allergies or resource-guarding behaviors with toys or treats?
A typical day
As a full-time housewife, my schedule is completely dedicated to your pet's happiness and safety. Our day is structured to provide a healthy balance of activity and rest: 4:30 AM: The day starts early! We gets up early and provide the first potty break of the day for any guest pets. 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Morning relief in our secure, fenced yard, followed by breakfast. 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Activity time! This includes a walk around our quiet neighborhood or a visit to the community park to explore 'new smells'. 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Quiet time and mental enrichment. I love setting up interactive pet puzzles, snuffle mats, and indoor scavenger hunts in the sunroom to keep their brains busy. 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Afternoon garden play or gentle indoor games. This is perfect for high-energy dogs to burn off steam or senior dogs to get some light TLC. 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Dinner time, evening wind-down, and plenty of cuddles in the sunroom while we send you your daily photo and video updates. 10:00 PM: Final potty break before a peaceful night's sleep.

Shizuka is an amazing caregiver! Very nice, super communicative, and highly flexible. Her fenced yard is beautiful -just what pups need to play safely. Her eye is always on the pets whether inside or outside. I highly recommend her care! Your dog will be very happy and safe with her and her family!
Shizuka was great. She sent frequent pictures and updates, and she has a great back yard where my dog enjoyed roaming and relaxing in the sun. I look forward to booking with her again!
