Pet care experience

Cat Lady! Dog Mama! Your Pet’s Fav!

I’ve owned pets my entire life and have always had a deep love for animals — especially cats and dogs. I currently care for my three dogs every day, giving me hands-on experience with feeding schedules, routines, behavior, and plenty of love and playtime. Friends and family have always trusted me with their pets because I’m patient, nurturing, and very attentive. Overall I am detail-oriented, responsible, and great at following any instructions you give. Your pet will get genuine love, structure, and a peaceful home-away-from-home with me.

This will be my first time leaving my very attached baby girl with a total stranger, and it was the best decision I’ve made by far, Shiyenne is a dog whisperer Lucy doesn’t let anyone pick her up and hold her but by some miracle Shiyenne was able to. She sent me pictures and brief progress reports on how my baby was settling in. Shiyenne made this experience truly amazing and accommodating. We will return in July. Thanks for the absolute best sitter Shiyenne.

Definitely someone you want taking care of your pet! We were going to be in town for a week and unfortunately our dog was just not ok being left alone. Shiyenne was more than willing to take her in so we could go to shows and things without having to worry about our Wendi. She even advised that we board instead of use daycare to save money and time. She would give us updates, photos, and videos of Wendi daily and was very responsive each time we reached out wanting to know how she was doing. She was exactly who we needed at an unexpected and unplanned time! Thank you so much Shiyenne!!!

Drop-In Visits • Apr 15, 2026

Shiyenne was very communicative and responsive before, during, and after her drop-in visits. She provided photo and/or video updates daily. I was initially a bit concerned about using Rover for a sitter, but she’s really sweet and easygoing, and my cat loved her, so I have no complaints at all! I would definitely book with her again. I really appreciated the peace of mind while I was away.

Schedule

I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I’m home a lot of the time during the day and am able to give pets consistent attention and supervision. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily routine since I already look after my own pets and spend a lot of time in our backyard. Im always available and present, and I focus on nurturing the connection so they feel safe and secure during their stay.

Safety, trust & environment

I offer in-home care so my focus is offering a safe, calm environment for your pet. I have a large backyard and three friendly dogs who enjoy having company. I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love both cats and dogs — definitely an animal lover at heart. I’m a careful listener and great at following instructions exactly the way you need them done. I can crate your dog if needed, maintain routines, and make sure your pet feels secure, understood, and cared for at all times.

It’s important for me to know a few key things ahead of time so I can give your pet the best possible care: • Daily routine: feeding schedule, walking times, and any habits they’re used to. • Temperament: how they behave with new people, other animals, and in different environments. • Medical needs: medications, allergies, past injuries, or any conditions to be aware of; any detailed instructions if wanting me to administer any medications • Dietary restrictions: foods or treats they can’t have. • Triggers or fears: loud noises, certain animals, objects, or situations that make them anxious. • House rules: furniture they can or can’t be on, crate routines, and training expectations. • Emergency contacts: vet info and who to reach if something comes up. Knowing these details helps me keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
