I’m currently working from home and I have a flexible schedule, this allows me the ability to take the dogs for walks several times a day. There is a nearby park where the dogs can stretch their legs on a large open area and burn off some of their energy. I know a lot of dog owners from my neighborhood that gather at the park. This allows for the opportunity to socialize the guest dogs I am caring for with other dogs.

I personally like to exercise and I bring the dogs with me when I do. At home I have a backyard which is great for potty training puppies. The dogs are let out to the yard at least every 2 hours. I also have ample space in my house to separate dogs from others, if needed. I don’t exceed more than 3 dogs. Most of the time I care for only 1 -2 dogs.

I’d like to know the pup guest food preparation; feeding schedule; dietary and meds/vitamins needs. I also would like insight on the guest pet’s temperament and if then guest pup needs to be potty trained.
Ein typischer Tag
I normally take walks and play fetch, if the dog is trained to play fetch. I’m usually rise by 7 am and walk the dogs during the cool morning, before the temperature is too hot. During the Winter, I walk the dog closer to my noon time lunch break when the weather is warmer instead of early morning as it gets too cold. There is a big park near my house within a 10 minute walk, where I take them to run and play. Sometimes there are other dogs at the park to play with.

Hi my name is Shirley. I’ve had dogs most of my life. I currently have 3 shih-tzu dogs. Two of them are 15 years old, enjoying their senior years. The other one is about to turn 8. I decided to join Rover in order to give other dog owners a family pet care option. By offering to provide loving family style dog care while the dogs are away from their own home. I want to help others avoid the experience I had of boarding my dogs in a kennel type facility which housed my dogs in a kennel most of the time. With little freedom or interaction with people or other dogs. I felt very sad with that style of kennel care. As for my family care style, while I do have a full time day job which allows me to work from home, I feel that it is better for dogs to be out in the yard rather than a cage. I have a big yard that the dogs can relax in during there stay here. I can’t wait to meet your pup!

Shirley and her husband are so sweet with our little dog, they made her so comfortable and took great care of her.
Shirley is an amazing dog sitter. She put my mind at ease by sending multiple photos of Iroh daily. It was nice to see both photos and videos of Iroh, such as seeing him play or go on walks. I would highly recommend Shirley and I will definitely be having Iroh stay with her again.
Very thankful & extremely grateful for Shirley! Our dog needed extra care & support, she went above & beyond to take care of him while we were away at a distance. Very Grateful !!!
2nd time taking care of chopper and it’s for 3.5 weeks! Sent us a lot of pictures and videos and we know chopper loved staying with them. They have a big yard where he can play and wonder and other dogs to play with too (but not overcrowding) will definitely keep using them for dog sitting needs! Thank you Shirley and to your husband! You guys are wonderful.
