Hello, my name is Shirley Gonzalez! Thank you for considering me to care for your pets. I’ve been caring for animals professionally since I was 17 when I started working at a doggy day care facility. Although, all throughout my childhood I had pets of all kinds such as parakeets, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, snakes, and fish. After leaving the boarding industry, I decided to become a Vet Tech, to further pursue my passion. I have 4 years of vet tech experience total, some spent working in a high volume-low cost hospital, so I am confident I can handle just about anything, and have seen it all! I’m am capable of caring for all kinds of pets like Guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, to name a few; and of course, dogs and cats of all sizes. I have a soft spot for feisty chihuahuas and seniors! I have plenty of experience with dogs and cats that may be labeled as “difficult”, and will always be willing to do a meet and greet as many times as needed, beforehand to ensure they are comfortable while you’re away. I can safely administer medications orally, topically, or injections such as insulin. My experience as a vet tech has given me knowledge and tools that I use to ensure your pet stays safe, secure, and stress-free in a potentially stressful situation, as I understand some fur babies may have separation anxiety. I do accept drop-ins during my overnight stays, sometimes having to step out multiple times a day for a couple hours, so if that is something that will not work for your pets, please let me know so I can accommodate accordingly. I’m very big on reading body language, and I feel it goes a long way to making your pets feel at ease while you’re away. Comfort for your fur babies and peace of mind for you are part of the package deal! I’m available for overnight stays, and drop ins for any species. Drop ins always welcome! I can provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, even a bed time visit, and plenty of cuddles and playtime for kitties and pups who need that stimulation. I send you tons of pictures and updates throughout the day so you’ll never have to wonder what your pets are getting up to. If you like your update photos, ask about booking a private photo session, shot using a professional camera!

Currently, I do not offer boarding. I have a ton of in-home pet sitting experience and feel it’s easier on your pets when they get to stay home.

Shirley was awesome, she gave us updates through-out his stay and gave him plenty of playtime and walks. We came home to a very happy boy! We will definitely be contacting her again!
Winnie loved hanging out with Shirley. She prioritized play and walks while staying with her. She even washed and dried the sheets and remade the bed before we came home, it was a very kind gesture when we came home. Definitely would recommend her!
Shirley was absolutely wonderful with my miniature schnauzer! She kept me updated with tons of adorable photos of their walks and playtime. My pup was clearly spoiled and so well cared for while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for better!
Shirley was very professional. She set up a meeting in advance to meet with our puppy, Henry, and she then was there when we needed her. She took very good care of Henry and sent us pictures while we were gone. We will definitely have Shirley again when we need a sitter for Henry.
Shirley was a fantastic dog/ house sitter for our two dogs! She sent updates throughout the days with pictures and I knew our dogs were very well cared for. She also was great about giving one of our dogs medications and restricting his activity as he recovers from an injury. We will definitely be re-booking with Shirley in the future!
