Your dog will love our quiet home.
We live in a quiet Valparaiso neighborhood. Hubby is a retired pastor and wife is a retired music teacher/guidance counselor. We are dog lovers; raised cocker spaniels years ago. We have a rescue 3/4 bulldog 1/4 puggle who mostly chills. She shies from other pets and is never aggressive; doesn't bark. We would like company for her. We would walk your dog daily upon request. You will have peace of mind that we are following your requests while your pet lives with us.

Shirley is so great with my dog. We have peace of mind while we are away that she is being loved and well cared for. Communication is amazing because Shirley lets me me know each day how Stella is doing and sends pictures!

Schedule
We are both retired and spend most of our time here at home. We volunteer in different charity resale shops but on different days. We attend church Sunday mornings.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced yard; your pet can explore our 1/3 acre and be safe. Our dog runs to the door when she wants in. When we let the dog out, we set a timer so we don't forget. We have no products sitting out that would be dangerous to a dog.
Pets
A typical day
We have a safe neighborhood to walk in. We have an enclosed backyard. If the dog I am caring for likes to chase a ball, we will play in the backyard or also in the house. For me, the important thing is learning from the pet owner what their pet enjoys/doesn't enjoy. It is my goal to follow the pet owner's instructions and suggestions. I will send photos for the owner's peace of mind. I will also text if I have any questions that are important.

- Does the dog have medical concerns. Are vaccinations up to date? Flea collar or drops used? Do we need to administer medicine? Who is the dog's vet? Is the dog active or spends most of the day sleeping? What are mealtimes and what is the quantity of food. How does the dog interact with small children. This is important as we have grandchildren. We would determine if they will stay away while we are dog-sitting. We don't babysit grandchildren on a regular basis.
