I’m a retired nurse so since my time is free, my time is devoted to your fur babies. This is my way of still being able to help people and have many pets, which I’m unable to have where I live, all at the same time. The only time I spend away from your family members is if I have an appointment to go to so would only be away for a couple of hours. My time is spent playing, walking your pets and I will even clean your home so when you return you have nice clean sheets on your bed and a clean home to come back to. Your home is treated as I treat my own, with great care.

It’s important for me to know about any specific dietary needs, medications, any specific routines that are important to follow in order to keep your fur babies schedule on track as much as possible and keep them happy and healthy.
A typical day
I love going for walks and if your fur baby loves walks we will take lots of those together as well I like to provide lots of play time. If you like and if there’s time, depending on how long your away, I can teach your pet’s little tricks, bath them and I will brush them daily.

Pet care experience
I love and have owned and/or cared for animals for most of my life so have experience with all sorts of pets such as dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish and many smaller rodent type pets as well. I also have experience training dogs, roll over, sit, shake a paw, heel, sit and stay, come, catch and other little tricks etc. and if your in the middle of dog training I’m able to keep that up for you while your away. I’ve had experience with rescue animals, pets who are frightened, shy and pets who take awhile to warm up, have separation anxiety and even animals with behavioural issues.

Shirley took care of our boys (2 german shepherds cross) while we were gone for 3 days. She was awesome with them, we came back to happy dogs, and a house that looked as clean as we had left it. She was very responsive and communicative. On the way back from Edmonton, we got stuck in traffic for 6 hours because of a crash on the highway, we ask Shirley if she wouldn't mind going back to our place to feed our boys and let them outside, she didn't hesitate and asked if there was anything else she could do to help. Overall, she is skilled with dogs, nice and professional, and so willing to help, what a great lady! Thank you again Shirley, we'll be using your services again soon :)
