I have a large fenced in yard with chicken wire attached to most of the bottom to prevent any diggers that try to get out. However, all outside play is supervised by me. I do have crates and kennels. I crate most dogs while away; for mine and their safety. We cant wait to schedule a meet & greet with you and your pup/puppers! Please note there are times when I may keep more than your dog, that is why meet & greets are so important to me. I will ALWAYS let you know if you are the only one scheduled, or if there are more here during there stay.

During my 23 years of dog sitting, I have honed my skills in providing personalized care to meet each dog’s unique needs. Whether it’s administering medications, adhering to a specific feeding schedule, or simply providing plenty of playtime and snuggles, I prioritize the well-being of the dogs under my care. I understand the importance of building trust and forming a bond with each dog, allowing them to feel comfortable and secure in their temporary home away from home. So, if there are any special instructions you would like me to adhere to, I will gladly :) All dogs booked will be asked to provide up to date shot records by or before the booking date. I look for UTD Rabies, DHPP, & Bordetella. Thank you for making it to the end of my profile and taking your time to get to know me.
A typical day
With my yard being so big, we do throw the ball a lot. Ball throwing is usually played in the afternoons to ensure they get wore out before our personal evening activities. I learned the importance of cherishing every moment with our furry friends. Dogs have an incredible capacity for love and companionship, and they leave an indelible mark on our hearts. I approach every dog sitting opportunity with the same level of care and dedication that I give to Elvis, ensuring that each pup feels safe, loved, and happy in my presence. In the mornings, during the school year I usually take Elvis and a friend for a 4-5mile walk. I have a friend that comes to my house and walks with me most mornings. There is only 2 of us, so we typically only so when there is only 1 fur-friend over.

I have been dog setting for the past 23 years. It all started when I watched my boss' 3 chihuahuas when I was about 17 and then I just have had many request ever since. I have had the privilege of caring for many beloved pups. Throughout my pet-sitting days, I have provided a loving and safe environment for dogs of all shapes and sizes. My two personal dogs were an integral part of my life for 12 wonderful years. They both passed in the Summer of 2020. It took me awhile to get another dog, but I did finally get our Elvis (a bloodhound) in October 2022. He is almost 5 years old with a giant heart! He loves to have a fur-friend over and gets along with any age pup. I have a son who is 10 years old and absolutely loves helping out with the dogs. My son has learned so much about dogs and loves having them around as well. I also prioritize the emotional well-being of the dogs I sit for. I recognize the profound impact that loss and change can have on a dog’s mental health, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. Through patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of canine behavior, I work to alleviate any anxiety or stress that may arise during their time with me. Above all, I approach dog sitting as a privilege and a responsibility. I hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism and compassion, ensuring that each dog receives the love and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a pawsitive and enriching experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of peace of mind for all parties involved.

Shireen is AMAZING!!! She’s so great with our doggos and sent lots of pics and videos while we were away. This was our first time using Rover and admittedly pretty nervous leaving our dogs, but she instantly squashed those feelings when we met. 10/10 recommend!!

Shireen is the best! She has a love for all animals and handles each one with patience, kindness, and love no matter the personality. My 2 drama queens are full of personality and occasional mischief yet Shireen never fails to go above and beyond! This is my 2nd time using her boarding services and I am officially a loyal client!
