About Shiley D.

Safety, trust & environment

I currently own two cats, who I make sure have all the toys and provide the entertainment they need to be happy, because I understand how boring it can be to play on your own all the time. My friend has a puppy I occasionally take care of as well, and I do my best to continue basic training, like house breaking and simple commands, while I take care of him. I'm gentle with animals, and patient with them, but I'm willing to show them to listen if needed. Of course, I do my best to do that by playing into their natural instincts and social structure rather than just using full force.

Information Shiley D. would like to know about your pet

I want to know how trained your pet is, and if I need to be helping move along training in any way while with your pet. I'm fine with simple things, like house breaking puppies or teaching things like sit and kennel time. I also want to know any kind of allergies or other medical information I may need to know, if they have any special dietary needs or restrictions, and what to do if something does make them sick. I'm fine with any kind of pet really!

A typical day

I often like relaxing with pets, offering lots of cuddles and petting and as many naps as the pet wants. (for those extra sleepy kitties or tired out pups) When I notice the furball getting extra energetic, jumping around or running more, even just being more talkative, I'll usually take them out or into a play room to get some of that energy out. If you have toys available, I'd be happy to toss them around, play tug-a-war, or even pretend to play with them myself. (My own cats love it when i sit on the floor and play alongside them) I know of plenty of parks and nature trails that aren't too far away that offer many smells and nice sun, and I'll always be contacting the owner before taking the pet anywhere of course.

A proficient animal lover

Pet care experience

I've had many pets in my life, and cared for other kinds of animals in the past as well. I've owned multiple dogs, a few cats, and I've even taken care of birds when needed. I love animals and care about them a whole lot, and I have a lot of love to give, enough to share with others' pets as well as my own!
