I’ve been caring for pets for several years through volunteer work at Animal Care Centre in Manhattan and helping friends with their pets. Whether it’s walking dogs, feeding cats, or just spending time with them to keep them company, I truly enjoy being around animals and making sure they feel safe and loved. I’ve looked after pets of different sizes and personalities and understand how important it is to be patient and attentive to their needs. While I don’t have formal training or certifications, what sets me apart is the genuine care and reliability I bring to every pet-sitting job. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their usual routines closely to help the pet feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of playtime, walks (if needed), and, of course, lots of attention and affection. I’m respectful of the home, keep things tidy, and stay in communication with the owner through updates and photos so they know their pet is in good hands. If a pet needs quiet time or has special preferences—like favorite toys or sleeping spots—I make sure to honor that. My goal is to make their time away from their owner feel as stress-free as possible.

I dropped off Niko and Rumi at his place and honestly had a great experience. He took really good care of them and kept me in the loop the whole time, like sending updates when they were fed and just how they were doing in general. Niko is usually very anxious and hides around new people, but he actually got comfortable with him, which says a lot. Both Niko and Rumi seemed super settled, almost like it was their second home. At one point Niko puked a hairball (which is normal for him), but he handled it well and kept me updated every few hours, and even followed up the next day and after meals. I really appreciated that. Overall, I wouldn’t think twice about booking again.

Schedule
I’m in between jobs so is pretty flexible so I can accomplish the pet care after 8am daily. Caring for pets also brings a sense of balance and joy to my week—it’s something I genuinely look forward to.
