I’m currently available most afternoons and evenings, with a flexible schedule to match your pet’s routine. I do have my own dog Peach to take care of but her schedule is flexible and my husband works from home, so you can count on me to give your pets my full attention and lots of love! 🐾✨

In your home, I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and outdoor breaks as needed. I’m happy to help with feeding, fresh water, medication (if required), crate time, and any training rules you’d like me to continue. I always keep a close eye on pets and make sure they’re secure indoors and outside. For walks, I focus on a safe and fun experience — letting your dog explore and sniff while keeping good control and watching for other dogs or distractions. I tailor the walk to each pet’s energy level and comfort. My goal is always to make pets feel loved and relaxed while giving you peace of mind that they’re well cared for. 🐾💛
Information Sherry M. would like to know about your pet
Before I care for your pet, I love to know as much as possible so I can give them the best experience! Some helpful things to share include: • Daily routine — feeding schedule, potty times, walk preferences • Personality & comfort level — shy or outgoing? cuddly or independent? • Any medical needs — medications, allergies, physical limitations • Behavior notes — separation anxiety, chewing habits, barking triggers, etc. • Training details — commands they know and any behaviors you are working on • Social preferences — how they do around other dogs, cats, or new people • Favorite things — toys, treats, games, and where they like to sleep • House rules — furniture boundaries, crate use, backyard routines The more I know about what makes your pet feel safe, happy, and comfortable, the better I can care for them just like you do!
A typical day
Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I always make sure they get plenty of love and fun! I tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. Some of the things we might enjoy together include: • Going for walks around the neighborhood and exploring new scents • Playing fetch, tug-of-war, or chase with their favorite toys • Practicing tricks or basic training for extra stimulation • Cozy cuddle time, belly rubs, and lots of affection • Interactive play for cats—like wand toys, laser pointers, or puzzle feeders • Enjoying outdoor time in a safe, fenced space (if available) My goal is always to make sure pets feel happy, comfortable, and right at home while you’re away!

Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Sherry — the human behind the treats and belly rubs! 🐶✨ I’ve been around dogs my whole life and helped my mom run a dog rescue, so I’m very comfortable with pups of all personalities, from the goofy jumpers to the shy snuggle-seekers. I love getting to know what makes each pet unique — their favorite toys, the best ear-scratch spots, and the silly habits that make them them. While I love to have fun, I always take your pet’s safety and well-being seriously. I’m reliable, patient, and happy to follow routines, training rules, and any special care instructions. Whether your pet wants to go on a big sniff-adventure or just hang out and get some love, I’m here to make sure they’re happy, safe, and excited to see me again! Can’t wait to meet your furry family member! 🐾
Reviews
Sherry has helped Sirius K9 Rescue with dozens of foster dogs over the years and we greatly appreciate it! Dogs of all ages and breeds love Sherry. Her compassion and gentle nature win over rescued dogs who are often timid and scared initially. Sherry understands dog behaviour, canine social abilities (body language and vocalizations) and the importance of training, which will ensure your pet is both comfortable and safe. Sherry is a responsible pet owner and adores dogs. I highly recommend Sherry for your dog walking and pet care needs.
Sherry has a tremendous amount of experience caring for dogs. As a volunteer in our dog rescue, Sherry was always calm and confident with all of our new arrivals, making them feel comfortable in what was a stressful and exhausting situation. In that role she looked after hundreds of dogs of every breed and size, and had responsibilities including feeding, walking and other exercising/play. It was obvious that she loved every minute she spent with the dogs, and the dogs could sense that too. I highly recommend Sherry for Rover.com.
Sherry is incredibly caring and responsible with her own dog. She has put in long hours training Peach, and you can see the results of her care and patience with every visit! She would be a wonderful caregiver for any pet owner looking for help.
