I got my first puppy for my birthday when I was 8. I love animals and I am a retired registered nurse. I have cared for all types of animals and I am retired now and home most of the time. I have fostered dogs and adopted some too. I currently own two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Annie and Finn, and a Calico kitty. I am retired and spend most of my time at home. I am active in training dogs and try to walk them daily. I am currently training my Cavalier to become a therapy dog. I have a large fenced yard with a doggy door. I have 2 other very nice dogs to keep your dog company. I have kennels if needed.

I was very impressed with the service I received from Sherri (and Lee). They were very professional and thoughtful in caring for my dog. She advised me regarding training my over exuberant year-old puppy. Pictures and texts were provided during her stay, and she seemed to have a very good time. I would highly recommend Sherri and will use her again if the need arises. *****
Sherri communicates well and was so accommodating to my dog. This was the first vacation where I didn't worry about him.
Sherri went above and beyond for our little Koko. She stayed in touch exceptionally both when things were not going well and when they were improving. Our little girl had a couple of issues and Sherri was immediately on top of it and did more than was expected to care for our dog. I would absolutely recommend Sherri for anyone needing to board their dog.

Wonderful choice if you’re in need and prefer a home setting for your puppers. Wonderful home with a backyard for them to play and caring people. Will definitely rebook if in need again.

My husband, Lee, is also retired and a dog lover and is always available for back up. We both work to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your pet.

I have a large , fenced, back yard. I do a lot of yard work and make sure it is safe place for pets. I live a few blocks from Columbian Park and enjoy walking the dogs when the weather is nice.
Pets
A typical day
I am up early and let the dogs out first thing. I also have a doggy door which my pets and some of our doggy visitors use frequently. I usually feed the dogs about 7. The morning is spent with household chores and clean up. There are always chews and toys available for the pets. In the afternoon I like to be outside if possible and walk the dogs. If I have to leave for an appointment, I will kennel any visitors for safety reasons. I always try to be gone as little as possible and my husband is home most of the time. I usually like to do some grooming in the evening with the dogs, while sitting on the couch and watching some TV. I have a small grooming studio in my basement and can groom your dog 50 pounds or under. Ask for prices if you are interested.

- I like to know the dogs are current on their vaccinations, if they are on meds or flea and tick preventative. I also like to know if they are anxious or have other special needs or a special diet. I like to know where and how the pet sleeps, as I try to do the same while the pet is with me, if possible.
