Hello, I am Sheri and I live in the Sisco Heights area near Arlington.I am one of the RoverGO pet sitters who has undergone advanced screening that culminated in a face-to-face in-home meeting with a home inspection. I am a huge dog lover and there have been so many special dogs in my life it is hard to choose just one. We just recently said good bye to my sweet chocolate lab Sammy. She was just one month shy of her fifteenth birthday! I'd never owned a larger dog until we got Sam as a puppy in 2007. She was simply a joy to own. My husband is a dog lover as well and he has helped me provide care. My fee is for a 24 hour period, and I work to be as flexible as possible with drop off and pick up times. Why I love dog sitting Growing up, our family had an apricot female poodle named Sassy. She was such fun to have around. She was incredibly bright, inventing her own games that she played by herself. She was a wonderful companion and through the teenage years, for me, there was nothing better than having a dog as a friend. About my yard I have a beautiful one acre yard perfect for rolling around in the grass and playing fetch. My yard is not fenced, so I will always need to take your dog out using a leash. My experience administering medication Yes, I have no problem administering medication when given specific instructions. I’m currently retired so my availability is pretty much around the clock. My husband is retired as well and he often assists in pet care with me. My one acre yard is unfenced. When I would take my own dog out, I used a leash and will do the same for any pet in my care.

Absolutely loved Sheri helping out with my babies. She was very communicative which brought me much relief as this was my first time leaving my girls for an extended period of time. I look forward to continuing to work with Sheri & Reggie.
Sheri was so nice to meet and our pups loved her (and the treats)! She was flexible on meeting us for the first time and let us have a shirt for our dogs to smell before the actual sitting dates...that helped our dogs recognize her when she came over. All tasks for dogs were on time and we had wonderful pictures of our pups on our trip. Would definitely ask Sheri to watch our pups again in the future!

Schedule
I’m currently retired so pet care is now a part of my daily life and activities. I work to ensure that I am home whenever I have a boarding dog as I prefer not to leave them alone.

My yard is not fenced. It is large and it’s great for dogs. When I do have dogs boarding here I take them out using a leash as I don’t want them to run unheeded.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks: I am a walker. During the years that I worked, I generally walked 5 miles (10000 steps) per day. The dog I had before Sam, was a toy poodle named Gizmo. I bought her to walk along with me. The first days that we walked, I would pretty much have to carry her quite a long ways. Ultimately, she walked well with me. Since I retired, I have increased my daily steps to 14000/day (7 miles a day). I walk a great deal. If the visiting dog is a walker, they are in luck! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will be welcome to sleep wherever he feels most comfortable. Please feel free to bring your dog's favorite pillow, blanket, or dog bed from home. Time I'll spend with your dog Retired, I am home full time. This means that your dog will have my full attention all day long and his/her every need will be met. My husband is also retired, so he too will be home most of the time to help me care for your dog.
