I’m a graduate student and I do most of my work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and can easily fit pet care into my week. I’m available for daytime check-ins, longer stays, and I can often accommodate short-notice requests. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine to keep things consistent and stress-free.

I focus on keeping your cats comfortable, safe, and supported in their familiar environment. I start by making sure your pet is doing well and that the space is secure, comfortable, and safe. Then I follow your routine for the visit as well as whatever your feline friends need most that day, including playtime, enrichment, or calm companionship.

it’s really helpful for me to know a bit about your cat ahead of time—things like their temperament, favourite activities, daily routine, and any special needs. The more I understand what your cat enjoys (and what they don’t), the easier it is for me to keep things familiar, low-stress, and enjoyable while you’re away.
A typical day
I’m a big believer in letting each cat lead the way. I follow their favourite activities and focus on enrichment that fits their personality and home environment. That might mean calm companionship, interactive playtime, window watching, or just hanging out together. For cats who are already trained and enjoy it, I’m also happy to do backpack walks or harness walks. The goal is always to keep things relaxed, familiar, and fun for them.

Hi there, I go by Pei! I’m a cat guardian myself and have also grown up with family dogs for over 20 years. I’ve cared for rescued kittens and have experience house-sitting senior cats, so I have a strong understanding of cats’ routines, personalities, and their need for a calm, familiar environment. I pay close attention to animal behaviour and take time to learn what each pet is comfortable with, always respecting their boundaries and never rushing interactions. Animal wellbeing is deeply important to me, so I care for animals patiently and thoughtfully. I also value clear, reassuring communication, so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands :D

With Pei I have been confident that the cats are in good hands with their check-ins while we are away. Her updates are detailed with lots of photos & vidoes about their water and food top ups, litter and overall play time. She goes out of her way to bring her own toys to amp up the fun for my two cats and to comb them and check on their vomits as they have long hair. A little goes a long way - we are very thankful for Pei!
I don't think there is a better cat sitter out there! Pei pays such attention to detail. We got a detailed update every day with photos and videos of Walter playing. She even brought toys for him to play with. We would love to have her take care of Walter when we go away in the future.
Shengpei has an amazing way with cats. She managed to convince my shirts cat to come out for food and pets right away! Four days away and I don't think my cats even noticed I was gone! The pictures and updatesshe send removed any stress I had about the cats!
Shengpei was awesome with our kitty Simon. She really endeavoured to make friends with him. She updated us everyday with how the visit went, which is how we found out she loves to play with cats and observe their behaviour and use those observations to make sure the cat was happy and settled. She also took some amazing photos of him. She brought toys and special treats. I tell ya she was some sort of cat whisperer, even bringing him treats that he loved which is great because he’s famously picky. I definitely recommend Shengpei for your cat sitting needs:)
