Pets are family, and I take my job very seriously. This has been such a fun and fulfilling journey for the past few years. I have worked with some truly wonderful people and pretty amazing dogs and cats, as well as horses, ponies, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, and fish. I always look forward to meeting new faces and their babies.

I’m currently working part-time, Monday thru Thursday until 3pm, so I am available evenings, all day Friday thru Sunday, school holidays, and summer vacation. Depending on location, I can also do morning visits on the days I work.

I love to play with your pets so they get some physical activity and fun! I’ll play with them outside so they can get some fresh air, or inside if it is too hot/cold, or rainy. I also love to just sit with them and pet/snuggle them for awhile before I leave at the end of each visit.

I have been pet sitting through Rover for over 5 years. Before that, I pet sat for friends and family, and have always had a dog, and/or cat since I was a kid. I believe the saying “dog is man’s best friend” is absolutely true, and cats are just as loyal and lovable. I’ve always wanted to do something that would allow me to work with animals, even toying around with the idea of becoming a Veterinarian when I was younger. After having my son, I chose to leave my “real” job, and I spent my last year and a half as a stay at home mom pet sitting through Rover. I started a new job in August 2019 as Assistant Director at a local church preschool program and continue to work there.

Shelly reliably provided in home visits for our senior dog. She provided timely communication and always sent a picture. I would use her services again.
Shelly is so reliable and takes great care of our bird and cat. Our minds are at ease knowing she is caring for our loved critters.
