Hello everyone! My name is Shelly, and I’m excited to care for and work with your beloved pets. I grew up on a dairy farm, where caring for animals wasn’t just a chore—it was a way of life. From milking cows to raising chickens and pigs, and always having a dog and numerous cats around, animals were at the heart of my daily routine. Those early experiences taught me responsibility, consistency, and the importance of attentive, compassionate care. Today, my husband and I run a small hobby farm of our own, where we care for horses, chickens, our beloved dog Luna, and many kitties. Animal care continues to be a central part of my life and is something I truly enjoy. I have also completed additional training and worked extensively with my own horses and dogs. Having been around animals my entire life, I have experience providing a wide range of care, including assisting with livestock deliveries (calves and swine), administering medications, and caring for animals with medical needs, including those associated with aging. I also frequently care for the pets and farm animals of friends and neighbors. I can't help but develop a special bond with each animal I care for. Working with animals is one of my deepest passions. I love to travel and explore the world whenever I can. Through my own experiences, I’ve learned how challenging it can be to find someone who is not only trustworthy, but also experienced and comfortable caring for both household pets and larger farm animals. Having peace of mind while you’re away is invaluable. My goal is simple: to give you the confidence to travel, work, or attend life’s events without worry, knowing your animals are safe, well cared for, and treated like family. I look forward to serving our community and building trusting relationships with both you and your animals!
