Loving Care and Fun for Your Pets!
I am a dog owner since 2020 and former cat owner who has cared for pets for friends and neighbors for many years. I specialize in engagement, attunement, play, and supporting pets with special needs, including senior pets. I am comfortable administering meds and injections if needed. One of my two dogs has a disability and I have hospiced two cats through their passing. When you choose me to care for your pets, you choose a reliable and flexible partner in your pet care. I am mature and easygoing.

Safety, trust & environment
I take time to check in with your pet when I arrive. Are they stressed, anxious, excited, disinterested? I give them time to adjust to my presence. I attend to any needs according to your specifications- potty, water, food, meds, poop cleanup, etc. Then back to play, cuddling, or just being a friendly presence.
Ratings and reviews
Shelly was so great with our dogs! She was responsive, easy to communicate with, and left detailed notes after walks. We’re looking forward to booking her again in the future.

Shelly was wonderful with Bernie! Very professional, kind and communicative throughout the whole time. She even took the time to come meet Bernie before their first walk to ensure his comfort with a new person. I would highly recommend Shelly and will be using her services again!

Shelley went above and beyond my expectations. She was on schedule, sent detailed notes and pictures, and even offered to go back when she learned I was running late. I highly recommend her.

Shelly Smith is probably the most genuinely, 100% pet/animal loving human I know. She is attuned, patient, responsive, playful and caring towards all animals. She is also a great communicator and is responsible and reliable with humans too. Your animals and your home coukd not be left in better hands.
I have known Shelly for about 5 years after meeting her and her rescue dog and me with ours. We have spent many hours walking and playing with our dogs. Beyond caring for her dog she is comfortable with dogs of all breeds and dispositions, including mine, who is a handful. I have first hand knowledge of her ability and reliability. For dogs with issues, Shelly is able to offer constructive advice without being judgmental or condescending. More than anything else, she spends her time with pets, really engaged in finding and pursuing what makes them happy beings.Beyond dog walking, Shelly also house sits for families with pets, and has always been accessible to me and friends when called upon with little notice. I have used her services many times including occasional house sitting with the dogs.
Shelly is deeply caring about dogs and very tuned into their needs and their communications. She has been walking my dog for over a year in safe places and on the leash Shelly understands my dogs character and needs and personality.
