Shelley can care for
Availability
I structure my daily and weekly routine around pet care, ensuring they are fed, exercised, and given attention. Each day, I set aside time for feeding, cleaning up after them, and making sure they have companionship. Weekly, I restock supplies and adjust my schedule as needed to meet their needs.

Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize each pet’s comfort and personality, letting them set the pace for interactions. When entering a space, I allow the pet to approach me first and get down to their eye level to establish trust. I respect a cat’s independence and let them engage on their terms. When walking dogs, I exercise patience, allowing them to sniff and explore at their own pace, as I’ve learned this helps build trust and confidence. My approach ensures that every pet feels safe, respected, and cared for.
Information Shelley R. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any behaviors or special needs I can account for, like reactivity. I don’t bring dogs that I am sitting to dog parks unless explicitly told to.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, I enjoy taking them on long walks, playing fetch, or engaging them with interactive toys. If they enjoy learning, I incorporate basic commands or puzzle games for mental stimulation. For cats, I use wand toys, laser pointers, or let them chase crinkled paper balls. I also provide plenty of affection and companionship, whether that means belly rubs, chin scratches, or just sitting nearby while they relax.

Pet care experience
I've had pets my entire life, from dogs and cats to small mammals, reptiles, and birds. Growing up in a miniature menagerie taught me responsibility and how to properly care for animals and adapt to each pet's unique needs. Reading animal behavior and connecting with each pet's personality is second nature to me. Whether it's maintaining your pet's familiar routine, providing engaging playtime, or offering companionship, I prioritize making your pets feel secure and loved in your absence.

Shelley was awesome with our boys. Very responsive, clean and kept the schedule we wanted. Will def ask her to come back :)

Shelley was a wonderful petsitter! I hope she'll be available the next time we go out of town :) She took great care of our dog and cat and left our home spotless. Thank you!

Shelley is a great sitter! She is responsive and very communicative when she was house sitting our cat and dog. Our dog and cat warmed up to her instantly during our meet & greet. It was obvious safety was very important to her as well. Would book again without hesitation!
Shelley took amazing care of our cat for a week while we were away. Our cat can be quite anxious but settled right in with Shelley. We received updates and photos, and our cat looked so relaxed and happy during her stay. Thank you, Shelley!
