Over the last 35 years I’ve never been without a dog by my side. I have personally raised 5 large dogs from brand new puppies through to their senior years. Labs, Huskies and mixed breeds. We are a dog family and have an incredible yard with direct access to green space trails for hiking.

This was my first time using Rover and anyone outside of family and friends. Shelley kept me well informed of what was happening with my dog Roxy. The long walks off leash, I am sure were Roxy’s favourite. With doing the meet and greet with our dogs and us a couple weeks earlier put my mind at ease. I knew I was leaving Roxy with a good family that would take good care. And it was confirmed with the stay. A big Thank you to Shelley and her family for taking such good care of Roxy.
I am so grateful I found Shelley. After we did a pre-meet, Rex did a full 12 hour day with Shelley, and by the time Rex came home, he could barely keep his eyes open. She has a great space with lots of trail access behind. Seems like Rex had a great time and I will definitely be using Shelley’s service again! Thank you!
I highly recommend Shelly for dog-sitting services! She took amazing care of my dog, Woody, for 20 days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Shelly was incredibly thoughtful, friendly, and genuinely caring. She ensured Woody was never left alone and took him on long walks every day, which he loved. Her professionalism and preparation were outstanding, especially considering how spontaneous dogs can be. Shelly’s dedication and warmth truly put me at ease, and I felt completely comfortable knowing Woody was in such good hands. Thank you, Shelly, for going above and beyond!

Schedule
I recently gave up my corporate career of 36 years and in my next life chapter I plan to spend more time with dogs than people! I am basically retired and will be with your dog full time.

Dogs are allowed everywhere in my house. I have a large fenced yard and many great hiking trails right out my back gate. Recent update June 2026 - Our beloved Labrador, Krypto, passed away recently after an amazing 14½ years with us. We miss him every day, and having dogs stay with us helps fill a bit of the void around the house. Your dog will have our full attention and enjoy being the only four-legged member of the household during their stay.

A typical day
Many different forest trails to choose from out my back gate for hikes of all durations with swimming holes along the way.l have a big enough yard for fetch. Lots of cuddles available from all three of us in the household.
