Special needs and advanced age animals are always welcome! First aid, administering medications and even trips to the vet are sometimes a part of visits and I don't charge any extra for these special tasks. Your dog(s) or cat(s) health and well-being are just as important to me as my own pets. I will go the extra mile whenever conditions require it. I have been known to go buy special food when a client's dog refuses to eat their regular food, or, stop by for an extra potty break in the event of an animal having diarrhea. What ever is in your pet's best interest, if it is within my power to provide it I will!
A typical day
In the summer months I will bring water for your dog(s). Depending on your dog's social skills with other dogs, I may take them to Pups and Cups for fun! Of course, we'd only do this with your advance permission.

Pet care experience
Permanent Pullman resident. I will be here for you for the long haul. I have been a full-time employee at a large Seattle-area humane society, and served on the Board of Directors here in Pullman for the Whitman County Humane Society. Compassion is my guiding principal--I care for animals just as I would want my own companions to be cared for. Dogs, cats, horses, no animal is out of the question. Have reliable transportation and know The Palouse like the back of my hand, born and raised in Pullman. I love animals SO much, I made the choice to stop eating them 30 years ago! References available upon request. My longest running pet sitting client has/had 4-7 Great Danes, 4 horses and multiple barn cats (yes, all at one time!). Will do whatever it takes to keep your fur babies happy and comfortable! I am now encouraging all cat guardians to keep one cat carrier in their home for every cat they have in the event of an emergency and I have to evacuate your fur babies on short notice. Please have enough for everybody and make sure I know where they are. Some cats can share one carrier, but others don't tolerate that, my own cats can't be put both into one carrier, Ahimsa gets really mad and I'm afraid that he might hurt Ewan. In the event of an emergency I will do everything in my power to evacuate all of your pets and keep them safe until you return. Hopefully I will never have to, but we have to be prepared for this possibility.
